This is either really good or really bad. Other than that I am exhausted after this day. I think the whole country is. I am so tired of the division. Canât we come together on certain basic things like conducting a thorough investigation on whether or not the man we are considering putting on the nationâs highest court is a sexual predator? Canât we give these woman the benefit of the doubt? An FBI investigation would do that. After that I would be more than willing to accept the verdict, even if it wasnât the one I want.
Unfortunately, my guess is that the three Republicans are telling Manchin itâs a done deal and asking for some bipartisan cover.
What does this mean for those of us cowering under the covers ⌠?
Take a look at the voting record of those four senators. I am sorry, I just give up.
Who knows? It could be as basic as sitting around over tea and discussing who was more credible. A vote for Kavanaugh is a vote to dismiss the seriousness of the allegations. At the very least the vote should be postponed and there should be an investigation into the charges. I hope that is what happens. I think it would be better for the country too. Do the investigation and let the chips fall where they may.

Not going to happen. A delay for an FBI investigation puts them up against the possibility that if heâs not nominated, there wonât be enough time in the lame duck session to get another SC nominee confirmed.

Welcome to the Republic. Love, Love, Love the Founding Fathers, especially for their human faults, but donât think they envisioned these clowns holding the balance of the highest court in their hands.
