And that’s why I’m not watching it. I’m as morbidly curious as the next person but I just didn’t have the stomach to watch those soulless vultures try to trip her up. Let the world see what they are; I’ve already got a pretty good idea.
I’m at work, so I can’t watch it. Not that it matters, I don’t think I’d have the stomach for it even I had free time to watch. A million kudos to Dr. Ford for testifying. She’s immensely heroic.
Same here (my husband is happy - I’ve been yelling at the teevee quite a bit lately). It sounds like the republicans are behaving true to form, and we already know what that’s like.

I am not watching because at work. But from what I am reading here, Dr. Blasey Ford is courageous and honest. And that always wins over craven assholes like Orrin Hatch and Chuck Grassley. And the entire Contemporary GOP.
I watched the first part up through the NBC panel discussion.
Ford is entirely credible, and the gambit to use a prosecutor who can only ask questions in five minute intervals has proven a disaster for the GOP.
There is no way that Collins or Murkowski could vote to confirm.
I would watch more, just because, even though it made me cry several times, it is really good to see Dr. Ford own Chuck Grassley. After all his maneuverings to undermine her, her truth is winning out.
Grassley is disgracing himself, an amazing feat for a creep completely lacking in grace to begin with.
It is amazing to think that this is how far the Republicans have evolved since Anita Hill - sorry, I meant not changed at all. All they figured out is that the optics of them directly questioning a woman does not play well. I am starting to think that despite having all of the power and most of the money, these guys might actually self-destruct. Then I remind myself that I have thought that before. I have no desire to actually watch this debacle either. I am sure I will see the most sickening parts on Rachel tonight.
You mean Grassley was lying (again) when he said the hearing would be “safe, comfortable, and dignified”?
