Discussion for article #241945

I’ve seen all the Godzilla films. This is not going to end well for CFG.

Chickens meet roost. You’ve been playing the rabid base for years . What would have been laughed off the stage years ago is now your leading candidate. You get what you deserve.

McIntosh predicted that if Trump is still on top in a month and begins
airing campaign ads, Republican operatives will likely unite for a
take-down effort.

Sooooo, - the Rethug establishment is basically going to wait another 30 days (including the next GOP debate) until they “do something.” What that something could entail isn’t known at this point. But, it will be something.

This will only make The Blond Buffoon MORE popular with his supporters because they HATE the Republican Establishment (RINO’s) anyway. That is why they support Trump in the FIRST PLACE!
The more they attack The Trumpster, the more they drive Tea-Baggers away from the “moderate” (using the term relatively) Oligarch-Approved Candidates.
Trump LOVES this sort of thing. It gives him more ammunition to attack the Corporate Wing of the Party with his EGO-Driven Populist tactics.

Hilarious! Donnie is the perfect manifestation of gop/teabagger values-- greed, arrogance, indifferent to the needs of others, misogyny-- and now their creation won’t be restrained.

I hope they throw piles of their money away on trying to silence him!

When asked about the Republican National Committee’s potential role in an effort to derail Trump’s campaign, RNC spokesman Sean Spicer told the Examiner, "None. None. Zero.

There are Special Select Committees for that sort of thing.

And what those committees will find out is that the negative aspects of Rump that make for a boorish, stupid fool are the things that are putting him in the top percentile with the GOP base. Good luck guys.

They created Frankenstein without thinking ahead that he would destroy them too. They did not mind his racism, but his criticisms of Bush-Cheney- neo-cons- Iraq war was the last straw. Truth hurts when spoken by one of your own.

They don’t want anyone on office that doesn’t owe them money!

Funny to read the comments on this article of republican Trump fans that are very antiestablishment republican.

“We did some polling afterward. The ads flipped Trump from first to second place among caucus-goers and put a dent in his approval rating.”

Depressing that attack ads are so effective. I don’t mean in this case in particular, but just in general.

No, they’ve done their polling - they’re going to run ads praising Trump for his care and concern for the poor, they’re going to praise his solicitation for the feelings of others and praise him for his respect for women and minorities.

Trump, of course will be furious and go full 360 meltdown, screaming that they’re assassinating his character and warping his message of disrespect and hate!

And of course, in the end he’ll still win their nomination and lose spectacularly in the general election. Ironic, actually…

Remember the film “The China Syndrome”?

The site worker tried to “reason” with an enraged Jack Lemmon…to tell him to lay off. Yelling to a speeding Lemmon, as his BMW roared off:

“THEY HAVE THEIR OWN SECURITY MEN!!!”

“THEY HAVE THEIR OWN SECURITY MEN!!!” :grimacing:

Wow. So the GOP is now looking for big donations to knock down their #1 Presidential candidate, and elevate someone else, likely currently polling in the single digits, with the campaign under way already.

Yeah, that sounds like a good way to spend your time and money preparing for victory! Not.
