Discussion: Cliven Bundy Owes The U.S. Gov't More Money Than All Other Ranchers Combined

Discussion for article #223576

If Bundy thinks he can out-wait the Federal Gov. he is even more clueless than his deranged statements and actions have previously indicated.

Must be tough, first Ted, then Al, now Cliven, the shame of being Bundy.

Doing the math on the trespass fees, it’s far more than $1m.
16 years x 365 days x 908 cows x $46 = $243,925,120.

Not clear if the $46 is per cow per day or just per day.

Out of 16,000 ranchers who graze cattle on property managed by the federal Bureau of Land Management, only one reportedly owes more money in late grazing fees than all the others combined – Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy.

Umm, mathematically speaking, only one person could owe more than all the others combined.

Oh, I wish they’d drag his pissant ass off to jail and seize his property. Fuck him. He is a criminal. I do not know why he is getting the kid glove treatment. Scumbag.

Right. That makes it only $268,640.

He says he doesn’t owe the feds the money because his family laid claim to it first, then maybe he should pay the money to the native tribes that laid claim to it before his family. Although I’d guess it was the govenment that actually had to run the natives off the land for his family.

Bundy, America’s new symbol or poster boy for tax and fees scofflaw. He raised a private army, and vowed to put the women and children in front of the men, so the U.S. law enforcement folks would shoot them first. This must be the finest example for TEAhadist Party heroes, selfish, self-centered, male supremacists. Where did this guy go to school, where did he learn these “values”? Which religion taught him that he’s the most important person on the planet, and that all the combined efforts and sacrifices of all the people that came before him and gave him this nation where he could become rich and famous, what religion and educational system gave this man a chance to be a national figure? And why do we bother to pay any attention to what he says and does from this point forward? Why does he remind me of David Koresh or Jim Jones? The only difference is that he has a few hundre head of cattle grazing for free on my nation’s desert lands. Obama is too kind to let this person continue to do this, but that’s better than letting Bundy lead his foolish followers into a certain death. Ignore Bundy and his followers, they will all die a natural death sooner than most who read these words.

Send him to Arizona and make Joe Arpaio dress him in pink underwear and feed him moldy bologna sandwiches on stale bread.

These nutcases are shaping up to be a bigger disaster for GOP
in the senate than 2012.

They were supposed to have all their ducks in a row.

Cotton in Arkansas - down in flames
McConnell at great risk of losing
Georgia at risk because of TeaParty
Michigan seat questionable
Brown floundering in NH
Now Mississippi at least having money thrown at it by the GOP

And then in 2016
23 Republican seats being defended - 15 in Purple states
to only 10 Dem seats - 7 which are safe blue states

Wake up GOP -
it’s over

Hillary/Warren
Hillary/Castro
will have Presidency/filibuster proof Senate/and Majority House

I hope everyone realizes this is what all the GOP hand wringing is about - it’s projected to the pain 2years 6months from now.
It’s not about this Nov. 2014 - it’s about Nov. 2016

Proceed Governor -
all over but the Iowa Hog GOP Castration squealing till 2016

His family didn’t lay claims to the land before it was under federal control already. Beware people and Fox News that repeat lies long enough for any fool to believe what they say.

Clinton/Castro 2016 would devastate the GOP.
Castro’s TX ties would turn TX purple.
Clinton polled very well about a year ago against all ® hopefuls. In TEXAS.

It is just a matter of time.
About 2.5 years IMHO.

Especially if they claim to be “Christian” and own a few or lots of guns.

I’m not sure it’s fair to say he “won” the standoff so much as the government side decided not to start shooting people over it. None of my creditors have shot at me but I still owe them what I owe them.

I like that “Clinton/Castro” idea. That Castro guy is pretty incredible, and, unlike Palin, or Joe Biden, actually capable of being a wise President. Fox News viewers heads will explode with a Latino man as VP, but not more than they do with a mixed race guy in the White House. Karl Rove, eat your heart out, you’ve got no one to run in 2016 against these two.
