Discussion: Clinton's Lead Dramatically Narrows In Latest Ipsos/Reuters Tracking Poll

She has been a dismal candidate, bad enough to actualy lose this. I’m starting to worry about this. At the very least she needs to have a press conference, remind everybody that no routine audit takes this long. to complete.

And Fox news has Clinton up by 6 during the same time period.

"Show us your taxes! would be a good first and last meme.

He’ll never reveal them and it’ would be devestating

They will – after Labor Day, when the citizenry is paying attention and engaged.

Please read my comment above about Hillary and a press conference. There is absolutely nothing she could say at a press conference that would help her. The press would only be looking for a gotcha moment.

I believe they’re keeping their powder dry.

The Clinton’s have too much experience with elections not to be.

Really? Are you kidding me? I think she’s run a very smart campaign.

This is hardly surprising. Most of those who brought themselves to vote for a ticket with Sarah Palin on it are coming around to voting for Trump, who is hardly any more of an insane choice.

I’m looking at the Electoral College.

She’s doing just fine.

The polls we need to pay attention to are the ones after Labor Day. Plus, it is Trump we are talking about. He is dumb and can’t keep his mouth shut. He’ll find a new group to insult.

Trump won’t keep his mouth shut. If he somehow does, we run endless clips of everything he’s already said and let none of it fade from our nation’s collective memory.

But these are just two polls of many which show a clear lead for Hillary, and state polling and Trump’s EV route to victory are still as dire for The Orange One as they ever were.

Man, I’m reading these posts and its like this one poll has everybody in a full scale panic. Hillary has a lot of baggage. We all knew this years ago - she’s married to Bill. I love Bill Clinton, but he’s a double edged sword. How she deals with the foundation, email and all the other crap going forward is important. She has one great thing going for her - she’s running against Trump. In a race to the bottom Trump will get there first.

Buyers remorse at this point is not helping. If you think this is bad, how are we going to deal with a Hillary Clinton presidency? If Obama’s presidency is any guide it will be quite a circus.

I’m really looking forward to it.

One of several outfits that do that. There’s also the Upshot at NYT, Huffpost Pollster, RealClearPolitics and Sam Wang’s Princeton Election Consortium (my personal favorite).

With the amount of early voting that occurs now, starting your messaging in earnest on September 2 seems a bit late to me.

You think the majority people who are voting early are voting for Trump?

I just think it’s time for the big dawgs to come out for Hillary…she is going to need a lot of help to put trump away…which is sad saying that

Buyer’s remorse?

Oh, please. I admit no one should be complacent, but she is far above him in knowledge, maturity, and experience.

I want her to crush him.

This poll may or may not be an outlier. But one indication of the margin of error in the poll (or even the quality of the poll) is the fact that Trump support increased with third party candidates included. It would not be surprising if Johnson and/or Stein preferentially siphoned votes from one of the leading candidates and not the other. But it is surprising (and likely an indication of the poll’s quality) when undecideds in a head-to-head match-up decide to choose Trump (or Clinton if that were the case) when given additional options.

Well, she certainly delivered a great speech at the American Legion convention today while Trump was flying to Mexico.

Her brand of American Exceptionalism? Hell, yes.

Assuming Trump loses in November, what will he do fix all relationships he’s damaged beyond repair?
