Discussion: Clinton's Frustration Grows As Primary Race Drags On

Didn’t we already have a version of this story yesterday? If the idea is to stoke resentment between lefties, Dems and undecideds…this is sure to do it. Why not just go with the old familiar beltway claptrap…“Dems in Disarray”? That’s usually the fallback narrative when Republicans are “literally” self-immolating. Both side-ism, right? I’d still rather be us then them a million times over.

I see this as nothing but click-bait, in that yesterday’s article on the issue seems to have garnered tons of opinions here, lots of anger, but very little enlightenment or objectivity. Sometimes I just can’t see how AP got to be so revered as a newswire. It might as well be run by Ron Fournier still.

Exhibit A:

Sanders is finally getting under Clinton’s skin in the Democratic presidential race.

When did the AP become an opinion page or run by the editorial board at the WSJ?

Agreed. This isn’t journalism. It’s a rather badly argued opinion piece.

I am SO glad that this is an AP piece and not written by TPM.
I am SO disappointed that a TPM editor decided to run it on this site.

Actress Rosario Dawson’s 15-minute speech at a New York City rally on Friday, in which she rallied the crowd by crying “shame on you, Hillary” and noted that Clinton could soon face an FBI interview over the email controversy while at the State Department, underscored the growing tensions between the campaigns.

Sanders adviser Tad Devine said the senator was not encouraging his supporters to disrupt Clinton’s events and was focused on his own message. But he also said the campaign would respond when Clinton mischaracterizes Sanders’ records and positions.

Her attacks, he said, only help Sanders.

“When your attacks against your opponent feed the biggest weakness that you have, you are undermining yourself,” said Devine.

Not necessarily

Sanders is still one of the luckiest unvetted candidates this cycle and this luck will continue until the general election campaign starts up.

Hillary: Identifying and criticizing your opponent’s weaknesses is called “campaigning.” You have weaknesses. So does Sanders, and you criticize his weaknesses too. So get used to it, this is going to be a long campaign and a tough convention.

Interesting article on some newly discovered history on the AP and its joint effort working with totalitarian regimes in order to gain access.
