Congratulations to Senator Sanders and to his supporters. It’s good for the party that there is still competition. (At least for a while). Takes away the talking point that Clinton is having a “coronation.”

Well, obviously Hillary won more states and more delegates tonight. But Bernie picked up 4 of the 5 states he was targeting, and it’s going to be close in Massachusetts. It will be interesting to see what the (pledged) delegate counts are after tonight. I think the predictions were that Hillary would probably end up ahead by 150-200 (pledged) delegates. I’m guessing it’s going to be closer to 200, maybe even a bit more.
On the one hand, that would be a very big lead. On the other hand, it’s far from a knock-out blow. Bernie has bought himself some more time to improve his standing in some of the big states later in the calendar…but the farther he falls behind in the delegate count, the less likely even solid wins in some of those later states can put him in the lead. But this is definitely a strong enough showing to keep his supporters fired up and for him to press on and continue to fight for votes and delegates.

Yup. That’s what she gets for overlooking Bernie and pivoting with one foot already in the general. I couldn’t be more relieved to see those blowouts in the late states in his favor.
I don’t think she’s been overlooking him. And with Trump surging in the polls and primaries, it would be suicide not to pivot and put one foot into the general. Something Sanders should be doing as well.

Sanders hasn’t been devoid of mentioning Trump either, but it did seem like she had started to believe the press clippings and took for granted she was inevitable again after South Carolina.
I think some people project that onto her, but that’s not the sense I get now. It will be interesting to see the narratives over the next 3 weeks.

Michigan is next week. If our primary happened today the snow would have kept the number of voters down. Thankfully, it’ll be in the upper 50’s a week from now…but maybe raining. Hillary has been running ahead of Sanders in Democratic polling consistently here from what I understand.

With 56% of precincts reporting, Bernie is winning every district in Minnesota now – earlier on, Hillary had been ahead a little in the Minneapolis area, but now Bernie is ahead by 6 points there…and that’s his smallest lead anywhere.
Gawd I really can’t stand that obnoxious motormouth Nicole Wallace and partisan hack Steve Schmidt they’ve had on MSNBC tonight. I’d even be willing to tolerate Michael Steele over those two twits. The people that brought us Sarah Palin have no business being on any cable channel with their harebrained political insights…

Agreed . . Michael Steele is a little saner and more honest than Nicole Wallace and Steve Schmidt. On what basis do these two have political credibility?

Now they’re having fucking Ben Ginsberg on. The asshole was part of the Floridah recount for Bush/Gore, was responsible for helping devise Republican redistricting on many occasions throughout the country, was another flunky from the Mittwit RMoney campaign, and was involved in the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth group giving legal advice while working for GWB reelection. He’s another Republican slimy and shady character imo.

Both Sanders and Clinton have been targeting Drumpf in their speeches tonight. As the both should as a Drumpf win in Nov. would be a 100% catastrophe for the nation and the world. I I don’t use that term as hyperbole.

Fucking Ginsberg just brought up the fucking recount he helped maniacally manipulate in Bush’s favor. The nerve…I hope these Republicans go the way of the Whigs. They’re almost there. Its like the snake eating its own tail.

and Rachel Maddow just called Ginsberg a Republican lawyer “extraordinaire” - There really is no shame or accountability or standard or anything. As time passes, young people and new voters don’t even realize what some of these individuals did to our political process.

The problem with all cable news now is that they offer very little if no context or background information on anything as it pertains to our common political knowledge as a nation. Young people aren’t the only ones left in the dark. They keep the entire electorate dumbed-down and ill-informed. Their mission as a news source to provide for a well informed electorate has been terribly dismantled by their own choosing. Its been reduced to horse race politics and the numbers game. Rachel doesn’t do that on her own show but the lack of doing it while she’s hosting this shindig tonight is just sad as the commentary goes. A political historian like Michael Beschloss or Doris Kearns Goodwin would be a great addition to their blah-blah right about now. A wider context would be valuable besides just running the numbers in front of the viewing audience.
