And, of course, the media barely covered Clinton’s remarks.
They were too busy covering Trump’s latest tweet.
Dear Sen. Clinton,
I voted for you.
Now please, please go away and enjoy retirement. You’re simply such damaged goods, no matter how unfair it is. For the good of the party, just stop.
Hillary, you’re right. I agree. And I hate to say it, but go away now. You’re not going to be the nominee again, and we need you to stop pulling focus. Thanks.
ETA @castor_troy beat me to it.
Never happen way way to much cash to be made with 24/7 tRump coverage of all the nonsense. Coverage that allows the damage to go unreported/unnoticed.
Hillary’s base won the 2018 elections. Had Gillum and Nelson campaigned with her in South FL, they would’ve won. She’s a powerful force and she’s pointing the way on comprehensive immigration reform as the way to defeat Trumpism. She’s also showing Dems how to take a more constructively critical approach to dealing with a broken US political media. Keep talking Hillary!
Not “Hillary’s base”. We’re not a cult like the Trump fans.
And, if anything, the Anti-Hillary vote cost us 2016. And two Supreme Court seats, so far.
She really needs to stay off the news and out of the way.
Party above self.
For 30 years the press endlessly trashed her…,
Not really. FOX and Russia, the ones that planted that meme you’re watering, beat the both of you to it.
You think forcing the press to vent it’s fully institutionalized CDS into an endless stream of Hillary Becomes Bitter Recluse in Shamed Seclusion After Epic Trump Bitch-Slapping” stories would work better for us, do you?
And that’s supposed to be her fault? So she should just go away because the anti Hillary people fucked us all?
Well…OK then.
For the good of the Democrats and our chances to get the WH back in 2020, yes.
Watch, by tomorrow morning Fox will have run stories misquoting he and Trump will be slinging tweets about crooked Hilary and firing up his base. He’d love nothing more than to have her eternally around to use as a foil.
Life is not fair. But she’s an albatross around the Democratic Party, she needs to recognize that, and let some of our other promising folk get the spotlight.
I was never a big Hillary fan because I don’t like dynasties, but I always thought she was more than competent and I voted for her. My point now is that she lost to Obama and she lost to Trump, and we don’t need or want to get into an Adlai Stevenson routine with her. The same with Bernie, for that matter. We are only a year or so (dog help us) from the sorting for the next Dem nominee, and I want to see the new contenders start stepping forward.
Actually I like having HIllary needle Trump, you know it get under his skin and is fun to watch!
That’s how voting works. She can’t win and her politics are no longer anywhere close to progressive or forward thinking.
I agree. If you want to see how a candidate like HRC could lose just read the geniuses in this tread. Spouting FOX tripe about “Go Away”. Millions of people bought in to Trump’s, Russia’s and Comey’s bullshit about HRC and we are all now paying for their lazy thinking. “I can’t believe a word she says” ( right out of a GOP word shop ) was said by as many dumb ass Democrats as GOP’ers. ( Yet HRC on a factual basis is one of the most truthful pols out there ) So now they can believe Trump.
There’s no reason for this other than silly holier than thou shit. You can bet all you have the GOP loves comments like the ones above and are working hard to plant the seeds for more of them.
New flash to the holier than thou’s: HRC is not running for office and has said she has no plans to. She didn’t need your dumb asses to tell her to go away. But she’s still an important voice in Liberal America. The GOP would love to see her “go away”.
Where did you read that? The Daily caller?
You and others who say Clinton should go away are so out of line I can hardly find the words. She should have been president, she won the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes, she should now be the face of the Democratic party, and you’re talking about her like she’s out of fashion, last season’s garment.
Are you even processing what’s she saying in your rush to trash her and push her off the stage. She’s saying the truths of what the party should do in handling trump, and that is stop paying attention to his tweets and his immigrant bashing. She like Nancy Pelosi knows trumpp and the Rs must be held accountable for the income inequality which has only risen since they’ve taken over the government.
Hillary’s loss partly set the stage for 2018 wins as @khyber900 is pointing out. Women were fired up at the moment she lost, but now we’ve won.
Great idea, but you might as well urge orangutans to understand special relativity. Oook.
