Time for Lee Greenwood to step into that phone booth.
Arpaio is a pretty good indicator.
Trump’s actions spoke more as someone thinking he is king and not as an elected leader.
“We’ve got to pay attention to it,” Clinton said. “Because the one thing we can do to reign it in, besides fulminating online or, you know, speaking or writing books, is to do everything possible to take back the House in 2018 and hold the line in the Senate. There is no more important mission.”
Note to Hillary: You’re not helping this mission. Recent polls show that you have lower favorability numbers now than even Donald Trump. Your time has come and gone. The public is tired of you. You lost to Donald Trump. You want to help? Then please go away so that the Democratic Party can rebuild. It isn’t all about you anymore.
Bullshit. Getting Democrats to pull together, get off the sofa, and vote is exactly what we need, from every figure the party’s has. Hillary is one of them, whether you like it or not.

While I agree wholeheartedly, I don’t think anyone should be talking about holding the line in the Senate. We should be fully focused on taking it back. I still think we’re going to be surprised by just who and which Republican seats prove to be vulnerable next year. We should be fully prepared to capitalize on it.
And it goes without saying, that Bernie is not a Democrat.
I adore Hillary. I’m glad she’s making herself more visible.
It was first and one at the goal line and she got stuffed on four consecutive run plays. That’ll get you fired in any league when it happens in the championship game.
On the topic of Congress’ surprising (to me) efforts to check Trump’s so called foreign policy:
Due to storm paywall may be disabled, and direct link works sometimes anyway.
That’s true but if he’s willing to support Democratic candidates he’s welcome to pitch in. Joe LIeberman, on the other hand, can stay with the Trumpistas.
Enough! I volunteered and voted for Hillary after she prevailed in the primary but she was an awful candidate and is loathed by independents, a not insignificant percentage of Democrats and ALL Republicans. She is NOT helping drive opposition to Trump by remaining the face of the Democratic party. She needs to get off of the TV and the book circuit, stop criticizing Bernie, and, by extension his large number of Democratic and independent (and even some Republicans I am acquainted with) supporters. Her continuing high profile activity will result in suppressing the 2018 vote. GO AWAY, HILLARY! You are undermining the goals you speak of by remaining in the spotlight and kneecapping Democratic attempts to disassociate with the losing Clinton brand.
Hillary’s sun may be in eclipse, but she still has important things to say and is well worth listening to as we fumble our way toward the 2018 elections. She was derided in the early 1990s when she talked about “the right wing conspiracy,” but she was absolutely correct. Her words today about the right wing attack on the Amendments and Trump’s inclinations toward kingship ring true to me and we’d be wise to pay attention to them, not dismiss them because they come from someone who is “irrelevant.” Her time on the political stage is over, yes, but her whispers from the wings should be respected and considered in the overall picture of Trump’s and the far right’s attacks on the Constitution. This is a pivotal moment in our history and Hillary sees that clearly.
You know what I want to see in 2020? Clinton and Gore stumping for our candidate in a “We Fucking Told Ya So” tour in which they talk about all that was lost through purity tests and arrogant, selfish “principles”.
So strange how I never heard angry cries for John Kerry to just go away, or for Al Gore to just go away, or for Mitt Romney to just go away.
So strange. I just can’t put my finger on why.
I wouldn’t trust Bernie to walk my dog. If he crossed the center line and hit Susan Sarandon head on the world would be a better place.
Is it because they didn’t go on a book tour while all the wounds were still fresh?
That’s the 64k dollar question isn’t it? He did sorta, kinda, support HRC, but his history, otherwise, hasn’t given me much confidence here. I’ll catch some flack for this, but I think The Bern needs to go off and do his own thing. The present arrangement is divisive and unhealthy for all concerned. And BTW, when all you’ve got is “Go away”, you got nuthin’
IIRC Last week Rachel said Hillary was going to be on her show tonight. Oddly, she didn’t mention last night.
Politics isn’t sports and it’s not a popularity contest. Voters either show up and do what’s best for the country or they lose. That said, I can’t think of another political person in the US who has done more good than Hillary. I will always respect her and think of what could have been.
