Their response…or at least what’s making the rounds across the Faux New KKKomment boards white nationalist cesspool…is that he paid billions in taxes by “creating thousands of jobs and paying all those taxes that came out of the money he paid to employees.”
…which, of course, only highlights that brain damage from which they and, in particular, their puppetmasters suffer, i.e., believing the money still belongs to the employer even though it was earned and paid to the employee. I’m telling you, they NEVER stop thinking of it as theirs and resent every fucking penny of even having to pay it to you in the first place.
Anyhoo…another fine opportunity to point this brain damage out, were Clinton and the Dems to suddenly have a great messaging game.

the all volunteer army is a mistake. they ended up with mostly men and women looking for benefits of all kinds for 3 or 4 years of service A giant Military Complex looking for the freebees they accuse the poor of. free health benefits for life free education, yet Thousands of their comrades were klilled in a war for lies Iraq they simply don’t care they support the most Un American nominee in my lifetime a pathological liar they don’t care they support Trump we need to eliminate the Volunteer Army and institute the draft. we have an army of people who care nothing for our country,blinded by their own greed.
I had already graduated college, debt free due to working my ass off while going to school, when I enlisted, and I had health insurance. Though my ASVAB scores allowed for any job in the Army, I chose forward reconnaissance (19-D Cavalry Scout) because I wanted to fight and serve my country on the front lines. I was not suckered in by lies in Iraq, nor was I some dewy eyed patriot who believed America to be the end-all-be-all paragon of freedom. I wanted to see first hand what it was to serve and to try to make a difference in the world in a real way.
Sure, there were some who were only there because they wanted to go to college on the Army’s dime later, or because they couldn’t get another job in the 2009 economy. They had families to feed and they put their lives on the line to provide for them. I earned $2000/month for my tour in Afghanistan, including hazardous duty pay, and overseas pay. When I went back to college after I mustered out, I just thought of it as back pay for those 3 years, not an indulgence. Certainly not a “freebee” for my Lieutenant who lost both his legs to an IED, or my sergeant who will walk with a cane for the rest of his life, or me, whose hip and knee will ache every day until I die.
Certainly not free for those men who we shipped home in a bag.
I think you are desperately misinformed if you think the majority, or even a significant fraction of those who serve are there for a “free ride”. Those sort don’t make it through the 4 months of abuse that is basic/OSUT training. Those who do sit down and refuse to continue the first time a shell lands on the FOB.
There were a few like that, but within a week in theater, the chaff was winnowed and all that was left was the serious men and women who, whatever their motivation, felt the conviction to serve at risk of their own life and safety. If the VA has to provide them medical care for the rest of their life because they were wounded in the process (the only “Free” healthcare a solider is entitled to after service) then I feel like that is an incredibly small price to pay for what they gave.
As I said before… just back-pay for service rendered.
