Discussion: Clinton To Receive First Classified Briefing Of Campaign On Saturday

I am confused. Trump is allowed to have Gov Christie (someone who is the focus of investigations into his behavior as Governor) in his briefing, but the former Secretary of State (who no doubt had access to highly classified material for years) cannot bring an aide with her to her briefing? The only conclusion to draw is that Trump got the kiddie version and Clinton will get the high level version…

“…She cannot bring any advisers to the meeting, according to ABC News.”

“…He reportedly had New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and retired Army Lt. Michael Flynn in tow.”

Clinton will understand what is being presented. HO needed interpreters.

Exactly. Her briefing won’t be dumbed down.

I think there’s a confusion in the way the word “may” is being used. From elsewhere in the source article:

It’s unclear why Clinton may elect to attend the briefing without any advisers. But any attendees, aside from the presidential candidate herself, would have to receive or still hold the necessary security clearances.

So maybe it’s that she doesn’t need babysitting.

Or they plan on giving her real classified info and they left out a bunch during his briefing because he’s a fucking clown and can’t be trusted with it.

Trump needed Christie to run for lunch, and Flynn to feed him. Sad.

I would not expect him to RUN for anything but lunch —

Food he will run for. Most dangerous place in the world? Between Krispy Kreme and a buffet.

Hope someone on Team Clinton saw that shameful bit between Chunk Toad & Mrs Greenspan at the top of MTP Daily fanning nonexistant email flames. Perfect example of the need for media regulation…

If not regulation, then a return of the Fairness Doctrine. Equal time for opposing viewpoints for what is, at its heart, editorial babble.

Interesting that it’s always these two and Tweety holding the dirty stick…The Harry, Ron and Hermione of MSNBC’s unmagical Hogwart’s…

Would you trust someone like Trump with highly classified information?

Call it a hunch, but I am betting this is the biggest threat to global welfare that HRC will be advised of.

That’s because Donnie’s briefing included a coloring book full of outlines of different countries. Clinton’s briefing will include actual intelligence information.

With apologies to “All in the Family,” “Mr., we could use a man like Edward Murrow again.” Herbert Hoover, not so much…

Ya think? I’m pretty sure Christie didn’t have a clearance for the real stuff so they got an “outline of the crises we face” available in an newspaper of repute. Obama and any intelligence official should not let trump anywhere near actual intelligence considering what a blabbermouth he is. You know he’d turn inside out if he had to squelch bragging about what he heard. That he hasn’t says he didn’t get much.
