Really excellent professionalism on the campaignās part. This is well-staged and choreographed, and the message couldnāt fit the venue better.
Hereās a line that I will gladly donate to the Clinton campaign: āTrump thought Brexit was such a great idea for the UK, that now he wants to be put in charge of the U.S. economy. Heāll be calling it āWrecksItā.ā
Weāve made it much harder for ordinary citizens to wiggle out from under bankruptcy. Of course, weāll never hold corporations or corporate raiders to the same standards.
Hillary neglects to sufficiently hammer Trump on his refusal to release complete tax records. I think the public can relate to this well, as so many past Presidential nominees released theirs. Tying it in with an allegation the failure to release them is an attempt to hide his shortcomings as a businessman and the inflation of his wealth would resonate.
I tend to think Donald learned the first few lines of āOzymandiasā without finishing the poem (and when does he finishing anything?) and strives towards that ideal.
HRC has had some clever Twitterage, Some are re-tweets like my earlier post.
Digby has a really excellent fact-check from the campaign about the Atlantic City speech.
Trump: āI created thousands of jobsā¦ā
For bankruptcy attorneys.
Make America Profligate Againā¢
āMurika! Where only the best minds have the best ideas on how to welch on deals and flee from creditors.ā
A thumpinā casino burner, Hill!
More than happy to not have her blast every good message in each speech. In AC, this was the only appropriate message she needed to hammer home.
He created thousands of jobs, but now all those people are unemployed in AC. So no, not a great record for DT.
Go get him, Hillary!!
Iām not quite CLEAR on which kind of BS the Donald is trying to āsellā hereā¦the fact that he can create temporary jobs, then declare bankruptcy when the ābusiness modelā doesnāt work out and leave those same temporary workers applying for FEDERAL unemployment insurance, the taxpayers of the state holding the bag on the failed business and the investors broke? So after 4-8 years as President he can just walk away, hand the country back to the Dems to clean up his mess and go live on his golf course in Scotland because nobody in AMERICA would ever give him another chance? He IS pathological isnāt he?
In all of this post-holiday/pre-convention thrashing of Trump where is Elizabeth Warren? Sheās kept a low profile for awhile. Wassup?
I donāt disagree. But can you tell me any event sheās staged in the last few weeks where her hammering of Trump on the tax return issue was such a prominent aspect of her speech it was noted in the media afterwards?
Unfortunately I had to leave part way through the live broadcast of this speech she was giving in Atlantic City this morning because I was going to be late for work otherwise. Will need to check out the whole thing later this evening if I can online.
One of my closest friends recently retired from being a bankruptcy attorney at a white-shoe firm. She says thereās no way they would have taken business on either side of a Trump bankruptcy.
