Trump was just TRUMPED!!! Congrats Madam President! What a night!!!
“…when any barrier falls in America, it clears the way for everyone.” I’m pretty sure Trump Jr will point out that she is plagiarizing MLK there.
Hillary was superb tonight!
this writer is a moron and Clinton is still a liar.
Jill Stein has been nominated as a Green Party Presidential candidate 2 times now. Killary would like us all to forget or never know in the first place that Dr. Stein even exist. unfortunately Shillary has a new, post convention, thorn to deal with since mass amounts of those Independents (>40% registered voters are Independents) who couldn’t vote for Sanders in the primaries, along with the “Bernie or Bust” crowd will be voting for Dr.Stein.and Gary Brown.
the fact is that Killary can’t earn their trust and she can’t buy their votes when she is still in hot water over so many of her illegal activities. I have the sneaking suspicion that is the reason why Sanders endorsed her, but is still a candidate.
no, this is not at all settled and the Dem nomination is still a tenuous thing for Shillary.
looking forward to some girl-on-girl debates. Jill Stein will show everyone just what it means to be Progressive, and show in even greater contrast than Sanders did, just how much of a right-on-center Corporatist Clinton is. and she will do it without compromising her principles or sleeping with the enemy like Sanders has done.
“Stronger Together” is actually a pretty good theme. Not only inclusive, but also accurate: xenophobic nationalism has ruined too many nations.
There have been many women running for the presidency, with the first one actually nominated by her party (Equal Rights Party) being Victoria Woodhull in 1872 (running mate: Frederick Douglass).
Until yesterday all women candidates have been from mini-parties (New Alliance, Socialist Workers, Workers World, Peace and Freedom, to name a few), none at the top of a major ticket. Jill Stein also heads the ticket for a mini-party.
However, with Hillary, this is the first time a woman is at the top of a ticket that can actually win… Which makes a very, very big difference.
"The first major party female presidential nominee in American history promised Thursday night to be a commander-in-chief “for all Americans together.”
Commander in chief for all Americans together? “Commander in Chief” is not a synonym for “President of the United States.” It is just a role, a part of the job, and the two should not be conflated. George Washington, who had been General of the Continental Army, acted a Commander in Chief less than a tenth of his days because there was no military.
"After all, when there are no ceilings, the sky is the limit."
This was my favorite line from her speech.
