Discussion: Clinton: Sanders Has 'Every Right' To Finish His Campaign As He Chooses

As Sanders continues his scorched Earth campaign of sour grapes and finger wagging, Clinton continues to be cool, calm, and classy.

Right on, Madame Secretary.

Now that’s some presidential-sounding shit right there.

I know its the right move to not fight back against Sanders but its so hard not to smack down the high sparrow.

This may be the funniest skit of the year

She means “finish off” like you finish off a wounded animal.

Great appearance on MTP…relaxed, sounded good, looked great…that cold still seems to linger…but Chunk, too, wants some vision to gnaw on…
Girls in space (or, cats in space even  ), a web that grabs you by the shoulders and jams smarts into your head, end healthcare/medicine doubts, arts again…a nibble…

Clinton: Sanders Has ‘Every Right’ To Finish His Campaign As He Chooses

Looking more as if the answer is: ‘as a Pariah’.

“Oh, I don’t think so. I think that Senator Sanders has every right to finish off his campaign however he chooses,” Clinton said.

Hey Bernie. I don’t think she’s referring to November. You might want to throw another tantrum.

It’s actually something how often she gets it right. The reports of her flawed imperfection may be greatly exaggerated. That’s an easy thing to keep repeating, if you’re a lazy pundit, but she’s a learner and improver from way back, it’s a big part of who she is.

If HIllary had run this campaign against Bernie he would have been toast last year, but she didn’t because she is classier than her defeated challenger http://www.thepeoplesview.net/main/2016/5/19/this-ends-now-the-bernie-sanders-opposition-research-the-media-refuses-to-release

Interesting to use the phrase “every right” after Jeff Weaver’s comment about not having the right to feel threatened earlier this week.

I don’t watch much TV so I may be late to the party but it seems like Kate McKinnon is one of those special talents who do a few years at SNL and stand out in every way, the kind who’d be funny reading the phone book and can take the wildest stuff and make it work. OT of course but just wondered if anyone else feels the same.

Compare her interview with Sanders’ today. Very telling. One was presidential. The other was petulant.

If I am Clinton (and not DLC or its DLC), I would want Sanders run Left hard and loud right to Philadelphia. She really ought to buy him a red flag, and maybe sneak some booze into his rallies.

This does two things.

First, it allows the Left Adults (Reich and Warren) to make the case to the Democratic Bureaucracy for a responsible Left Platform, with arithmetic checked by Paul Krugman, who is the best there is at that. A strong progressive policy platform is valuable for victory, essential to a successful administration, as those who watch “All The Way” should know (I haven’t seen the docudrama yet, but spoiler alert, the most important legislation of our lifetime, the Civil RIghts Act, was possible because it was in the platform of LBJ’s electoral landslide).

Second, it allows Clinton to make calming “now, now, children” noises to the tantrums on both Right and Left. Of course Clinton has the Mom vote already, but if she sits in the middle explaining the anger, and noting that tantrums need time out, she will lock up everybody who was an effective Dad as well.

(When Paul gets tired of this whole academic economist gig, he can hang out his shingle. Paul Krugman, CPA (Certified Policy Accountant). After all, Lord Hicks admonished that economists are first of all accountants, and Paul does Hicksean modeling better than anybody ever has.)

Agree. I have such severe PT-SNL-D syndrome that I just expect everything to be bad, and she always makes me want to keep watching whatever skit she’s doing. Was the Beyonce one this year? This would be second to that for me.

Killing him with kindness, professionalism, intellect, calmness, poise…

Now if the press can stop with the meaningless polls and flaming the dead fire, we can move on to understanding the issues, not just Bernie flamethrowing.
