Emancipation Day.
In January, Greenpeace asked HRC and Sanders to stop accepting any money from anyone associated with the fossil fuels industry. Sanders accepted; Clinton did not. (She had accepted at that point far more money than Sanders had from members and lobbyists for the oil and gas industry, so it was no doubt easier for Sanders.) For you to say that politics is dirty, and yet turn a blind eye when an attempt to make it less dirty is rejected by your candidate, is your choice; I understand that nobody´s perfect in politics. But please don´t try to marginalize a very important issue to some of us by calling the documented oil and gas industry ties to HRC as mere ¨stories¨.
@answerfrog please read this before you call me a liar again
Fine, darcy. Sanders is pure as the driven snow.
Finally googled him last night, because no one ever mentions his family or whether he has children, which I thought was interesting because of his throw-off comment about abortion and âserious issues.â
Oh, the republicans are going to just love him.
No, i wonât.
I wouldnât give you air in a jug.
Yawn.
That doesnât mean squat about her positions.
He is such a nuisance isnât he!
I just hope she doesnât reach across during the debates and poke Bernie like she did to that poor Greenpeace activist.
the Clinton campaign provided 3 dates and Bernieâs surrogates are complaining on social media about the Monday, April 4. Yes, it is on the same night as NCAA finals, but it is before Wisconsin & NY. It is too late for that one now, but I donât see what is wrong with April 14 or 15. I wonder if Bernie really wants a debate or just to complain.
Nah, @thunderclapnewman is back in style with his avatar. and Iâm loving it! We all need a super hero.
I strongly agree with thisâŚwhich is another reason why her teamâs threat a couple of days ago to break her promise to do two more debates because of Bernieâs âtoneâ was so silly. The other reason it was so silly is that she was complaining about the tone of a campaign that hasnât been particularly negative by any reasonable comparative or historical standard, and certainly hasnât been more negative on the Sanders side than on the Clinton side.
No more debates. If I want to see two grumpy old Jewish (or Jewish equivalent) people yelling at each other, I can go visit my family.
Got me there, as we´ve already established that money means nothing to HRC. After all, she and Bill have made enough of it jumping in and out of public service.
Bernieâs campaign managerâs latest email asking supporters for more money is effing toxic.
It is more likely that Bernie would hit Hillary when he is waving his arms around
She certainly has been loathe to share a stage with Bernie since her campaign sent Debbie Wasserman Schultz out to slash this cycleâs debates from 26 to 8, then schedule them on dates/times that would assure the skimpiest audience cable TV can offer. Itâs almost like she doesnât trust herself to perform well outside carefully controlled forums. Either that, or she doesnât think her message is very appealing when compared side-by-side with Sandersâ.
hahahaha.
I would love to take the money and then be unavailable when they wanted something for the donation, which would be minimal compared to what they give republicans.
Or maybe, these donors donât want to see the world get even more unstable, which certainly would affect the bottom line. Ya gotta be pragmatic.
@chelsea530 The heavy lifting?
Answerfrog, if you´re going to call me a liar, perhaps you might quote a little further down in the linked article?
As noted in the campaign statement, the Sanders campaign is counting money raised by lobbyists with ties to fossil-fuel companies. Greenpeace tracked nearly $1.5 million in bundled and direct donations from lobbyists currently registered as lobbying for the fossil-fuel industry. (Lobbyists who directly work for such companies would have been counted in the direct contributions of $308,000.)
Then another $3.25 million in donations were directed by such lobbyists to Priorities USA, a Super PAC backing Clinton, Greenpeace claimed
26 debates?
Why?
Yeah, those silly corporations! They know nothing about how the political system works! LOL! They sure are wasting their money, ha ha!
Three times have been offered. No conflict with the game on April 4 as the debate would end before the game even starts. No problem for Thursday, April 14 and no problem for a morning debate on April 15. So, what is Bernieâs problem? He wants a debate and then he doesnât. Anyway, what more could possibly be said at this point?
Yeah like how the NRA got nothing out of Sanders Ha Ha!
