Discussion: Clinton Releases Updated Health Info, Doctor Says She Remains 'Fit To Serve As President'

and yet MSNBC just brought on another MD, John Torres, who said he isn’t satisfied with the test results released and is still “puzzled” by her health. He also said there is no point in discussing Trump’s health because we don’t have anything to go on. So much for our media’s sense of equivalency, folks . . . . .

Yes but did BORNSTEIN release it? That seems to be the ‘clincher’ as far as the MEDIA is concerned…otherwise, it’s a week’s story…

This is not even “equivalency” anymore.

“She has also had a normal mammogram and breast ultrasound, according to the letter.”

Trump: “That’s too disgusting! Too disgusting to talk about!”

Trump: This is all fine and well, but where are her “Long Form” health records? Don’t worry, I’ve put our best people on it, and you wouldn’t believe what they’re finding. Sad. We’ll have more on that soon, very soon, believe me.

No, it’s really not. This is just plain ole fashion sexism. She puts out the same amount of information as Obama and Romney, and the media claims she’s being secretive. Donald Trump puts out a freakin’ letter from a gastroenterologist that says he’s the healthiest man ever, despite being obviously obese, and the media never even bothers to ask why such a healthy person was seeing a gastroenterologist in the first place. She then puts out even more information and the media praises Trump for going on Dr. Oz with another letter from the same shady doctor who wrote the first one. I’ve said it before, if Trump becomes president I sincerely hope his first course of action is to start jailing the media. I would be tempted to get myself locked up just to see Andrea Greenspan in stripes.

Yes. And I know, you know, what it is from our 40+ years of lives on earth. I’m so angry, and sick and tired of being angry. The more transparent one happens to be a woman, and they punish her for her “lack of transparency”, demand more, cast “shadows” and “clouds.” Her explanation is dismissed as excuses and her rejection to disclose more than the normal standard is attacked as being secretive. The less transparent one – the NO transparent one, they gleefully let him get away with it.

I’d put the blame for a Trump presidency squarely on them. I wouldn’t want to read their pretend-to-be-self-reflective-where-did-we-fail editorials they sell. I would just want them to face dire enough consequences they deserve.

As long as this media pattern continues, I fear that a Trump presidency is possible. I got pilloried on TPM for worrying about the impact of the “deplorables” statement, but the unbalanced, sexist scrutiny Hillary gets (and the virtual pass that Trump gets on almost everything he says and does) gives me real anxiety. Sadly, I don’t think Hillary winning is a foregone conclusion like some others here do.

Hillary may be "fit to serve, " but how can she possibly hope to compete with a man who would be “the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency?”

If H.O. ever challenges her health, all Hillary has to do is bring up the Benghazi hearings. “Donald, you would have been a puddle on the floor”

Depending on whether she’s game, put Bardack on t.v…

No female interviewer,no ‘tweety’ either.

If the network is inclined, have a ‘doubting Thomas’ or a Trump supporter on as a counterweight.

When that interview ends,‘chop it up’ and turn it into an ad

All things are possible, but a meteorite bomb hitting this planet from Daxam is a lot more likely than a Trump win.

MSNBC execs want to be the chosen ones who run President Trump’s Ministry of Truth after he shuts down the networks. Planning ahead!

Q

Did they say where Torres hailed from?

Statistically it has always been possible, and in that sense we shouldn’t take anything for granted. But, that doesn’t mean it’s likely.

Benchmark has this to say – > 427 out of 500 assuming PA in play. Sam Wang has it Bayesian 89% now. So, it has been definitely trending toward Trump, but the fact she’s still standing there even after the consistently and relentlessly negative press over the past couple of weeks is an indication of solid fundamentals.

Anthony concludes his Shareblue article with this…

These simulations only become reality if Clinton supporters make every day count between now and Election Day. There is no easy path to the presidency, certainly not for Hillary Clinton. Every call, every door knock, every tweet, every vote, matters.

edit: fucked up sentence

Is this the guy? It sounds like a pretty common name, so maybe a wrong guy. I didn’t watch the said segment, so I don’t know…

I should have checked his credentials, but didn’t. HOWEVER, he was interviewed a second time later in the day and definitely moderated what he said earlier. In the later interview, he verified that Hillary’s pneumonia was a mild case and was being properly treated, walked back his comments about her health status being “puzzling,” and called for greater transparency from the Trump campaign on his health status.
