Discussion: Clinton Receives Her First Security Briefing As The Democratic Nominee

Wow. First? Wonder why Trump went a week earlier.

At least we know this time around the analysts doing the presentation didn’t have to prepare cartoons to explain things…

Coin toss? David Priess has been on TRMS and what gets discussed with one candidate has to be discussed with the other. If candidate #1 has questions those questions and replies are given to candidate #2 and vice versa. Last night he went into the gamesmanship of asking questions or not asking questions.

Don’t know the reason he went first, but I’m glad: it forestalls the inevitable ā€œrigged systemā€ BS ge would’ve otherwise spewed, and it makes not a jot of difference, since she’s otherwise much better informed on these issues

HRC was advised that this is the primary DEFCON 1 threat to the globe.

Drumpf is much slower on the uptake. He needed a week head-start.

I’m glad Trump went first - because according to the rules, anything Hillary asks about, they have to tell Trump. And vice versa.

So you can imagine the intelligent, thoughtful questions Hillary asked, and since she went second, I presume they don’t have to fill Trump in…at least until the next round of briefings?

I would love to know what the analysts think of their two students during the briefings…

Yes, they do have to fill him in, and before the next regularly-scheduled briefing.
It’s called non-partisanship, and in this context, it’s important.

In that case, I hope Hillary didn’t ask too many questions.

I believe in nonpartisanship, but with Trump, I think I’ve reached my limit.

I’m sure it’s just a question of the candidates’ schedules and convenience, especially if it involves traveling to an FBI facility or something similar, as it did in this case.

Me too!

Do we know why Trump brought Christie and Flynn(?) and Hillary brought no aides?

Because they had to make up a fake security briefing for him, which took less time. :smirk:

Because Hillary doesn’t need help sounding out the big words.

OH, yes, the SANE Candidate got hers. She is so great, I love Hillary. She is so far above the Republican candidate and to think she has to lower herself to the sharing the stage with a ā€˜DOPE’. I am ashamed to say our country has a political party like the Republicans, I am seriously embarrassed.

Good thing her Email Server is not up or the Ruskies Chicoms would have the whole briefing by now…

Can you all excuse me for a moment? I cannot wait for Hillary to be addressed as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of this already great United States of America. She is the most qualified person ever to seek the Presidency. Go Hillary for my two children(girls) who are studying Engineering and Medicine. The sky is their limit.

She will be a good president. Like Obama she knows the issues, and has a tough skin.
