This must be very confusing for Senator Cruz.

Oh good lord…STOP PANDERING. This is BS…some guy, AMERICAN BORN, calls from a bathroom and says he’s ISIS and there is not evidence that he is…only that he FELT like he was. The only thing this does is enable Trump and his ‘base’ to prance around and pretend that ALL Muslims are bad…we should have Pam Gellar setting up something any day now. It was a sick fk with way to many bullets and the kind of gun that could shoot them fast.

No. No. No.
She didn’t say; “Radical Islamic Terrorism” while Red-Faced with Rage and with Righteous Spittle flying from her lips.
You know, if you don’t say it just right the incantation won’t work and Caucasian, Red-Headed, Blue-Eyed, 6’2", Winchester Rifle-toting Jesus won’t come down from White American Heaven to save you from the “Mud People”.
Hogwarts ain’t got 'nuttin on Christian Dominionists when it comes to spell-slinging.

I don’t think she’s pandering, she’s saying they and their ridiculous complaint is stupid. And it is.

This smack of cheap opportunism and appeasement to the RWNJ,

The Orlando Guy was probably not the least politically aware, but just a demented and angry loser, who happened to be a muslim with all too easy access to assault weapons.

Well, I guess the end justifies the means, but not a pretty sight, mrs. Clinton !

@clauscph I’ll tell you what’s not a pretty sight. Herr trump screaming at his followers that we must go to war because a deranged lone wolf committed this act of terror.

This is not pandering. Pandering is saying to a group of stay at home parents I love baking cookies when she’s already told she doesn’t. This is a statement of policy given in rebuttal to the sheer stupidity of what trumpet puts out and it’s what she must to do to remind the sane people who are tuning in they’re not alone in being fearful of this demagogue.

Yet another thoughtful measured response proving, beyond doubt, that we, Democrats, have a superior nominee for the Presidency of the United States. How fortunate we are!

Enough said.

No. It’s not “political opportunism” her part on because he WAS a part of a radicalized form of Islam. However, having said that, I don’t think that this was an act of political terrorism so much as it was an act of social/sexual terrorism and, no, I don’t think I’m just being pedantic. Personally, I don’t have a problem with her saying it was radical Islamism because she’s making a greater point

Smart move. The Issue is now effectively dead. The semantics and the hair-splitting are irrelevant, as The Secretary has stated and have nothing to do with the ease in which deluded individuals are able to obtain weapons, and other instruments of human destruction, in this nation.

How was he a part of Radical Islam ?

Does saying those three magic conservative words make any of this better? No, but it does prove that she has found a way to de-fang the serpent in his tracks as he slithers across golf courses around the country.

What is Trump going to talk about now? Separate bathrooms for Mexicans, Muslims and feminists? How about drinking fountains, too?

Calling it “radical Islamism” doesn’t save a single life. Banning assault weapons of mass killing does. Banning gun sales to those on the watch list does.

Repeat again and again and again.

You may be correct: she said the Magic Words™, but she didn’t say them right.
