Discussion for article #245585
Listening to DWS on MSNBC. " Republicans are having a literal food fight." No, they’re literally not. And it’s a terrible description for bigotry, ignorance and dishonesty. Food fight? “Some of my best friends are Republicans.” We know. You worked to protect them in the last election. Please make her go away, Mrs. Clinton. She. Is. An Awful. Democrat.
E-mails…i can give a shit less about e-mails.
Yeah! For sure. An overly used phrase but there is no there there.
I am not a fan of Hilldawg because I’m still salty over her primary with President Obama, but these emails don’t even move the needle on my meter. Do not even register. I. don’t. care! haha! And it’s not going away. We are going to hear about all through the general from the Republican nominee. ugh! just…ugh!
Chuck Todd, if that is his real name, is a perfect example of everything that’s wrong with America.
It is fascinating, if you ever read the comments from right-wingers on a news site - and I’m talking a place like The Washington Post, not a Fox News - they are absolutely convinced that Hillary is about to be frog-marched out of her house by the FBI any day now. I wonder if they ever get tired of being bamboozled by the conservative media?
Could you please try to confine your anti-Clinton protest to the relevant threads? I think it is a bit much to toss it into every article that mentions her.
The e-mail controversy is a sign of the fundamental issues that Bernie Sanders is raising: the e-mail controversy is a sign of the corruption that has affected large sections of our society, including the Republican politicians who have sold themselves to wealthy people trying to rig the system. I lean toward Hillary because of foreign policy concerns I have, but she should stop avoiding the corruption issue. It is present, it is real and it is damaging our country. Our country needs reform and it will not happen if a Republican becomes the next president.
Hmm. I don’t see it as related to corruption at all. Seems to me that is is a combination of: the professional, political noise machine on the right; the media’s profit-motivated reliance on controversy, hype, manufactured crises, unhinged guests, and anything else that keeps audience numbers up; and a national-security function that operates with remarkably little accountability or oversight.
No, it fits their ignorant world view. There is no end to it other than death.
At least everything wrong with American political journalism.
Rachel is a much bigger person than I am. I don’t think I could stop my body from physically cringing every time I had to turn and look at him.
Technically the word for the email “scandal” is “Bullshit.”
Look, I remember being irked with her over the “as far as I know” crack and other stuff, but let’s face it, the guy she made it about got over it himself to the point he made her Secretary of State. These people are lawyers, they fight with each other but it’s not personal. And maybe they’re like country dudes too, they have a few beers, get into words with each other, duke it out, then it’s over and they’ve got their arms over the other guy’s shoulder, buying each other beers again, all conflict forgotten. Just part of the game. That’s an example of letting things go, of kissing and making up, that we should all try to emulate maybe? : ) 2008 was a lo-ong time ago.
DWS…
Dancing with the Stars?
About 5 years ago I was staying in a Holiday Inn type hotel in Mesa Arizona. I went down to the dining area for breakfast and found that they had Fox News playing. I asked one of the staff if they could change to another channel. She gave me a totally puzzled look, as though she couldn’t understand why anyone would want to watch any other channel. Almost the minute the words came out of my mouth I realized I was an idiot for even asking!
How is the email issue a sign of corruption? The last three US Secretaries of State have all used private email servers. Why is HRC’s more corrupt than the others?
because she isn’t a Republican. G-d only absolves Rethughlicans of their sins, so they can sin again with clean conscience. B-S with a kick
I remember the Hillary folks in '08. The people in our local Dem office were so split… it was horrible for a time. Most got over it… but obviously some did not. In fact, I thank Hillary for toughening up Obama for the general election. He needed it…
First they came for the women, then the came for the blacks…
