Discussion: Clinton On Emails: It's Not About Benghazi, 'It's About Politics'

Discussion for article #239447

Glad to see that this article included the coughing fit debacle. I was really concerned that this might get overshadowed by serious discourse.

TPNs readers need this kind of relevancy in reporting. But a litle more information would be appreciated.

Did she use bottled water?

If so what brand?

Tap water?

Did she ā€œhack an agateā€?

Why this important story is buried is amazing. This is the story in a nutshell. It’s not about Benghazi, it’s not about the emails or her server, it’s about politics. I hope she puts some life in her campaign from here on out

Isn;t that the fucking truth and the fact that it is buried on the page

Even though Lincoln Chaffee doesn’t have a chance in hell for the nomination, I am so glad to see him saying some of the things that need to be said about the other side, because gawd knows the MSM won’t say them.

Actually it is relevant because you just know some Fox-drunk goober is going to come out with her being too old and frail to be president. Or maybe Fox itself, who would be surprised?

Everyone knows and has known for a long time that it’s nothing but politics. It’s a shame we now call this crap politics though.

ā€œDid she use bottles water?ā€

She’ll need an official taster if the e-mail madness continues.

This is a job for a James Baker. Do we have one on our side?

Make it go away.

I found these articles in Media Matters illuminating. Basically Mrs Clinton, was cavalier, and should have shown more foresight, in managing her emails while working as S of S. Otherwise, this is a nontroversy constructed by the GOP, and the Beltway/Villager media. So far, as far as I’m concerned, and who knows, maybe that will change in the future, ā€œthere’s still no there, there.ā€

Edit, The second link doesn’t respond right now. There’s apparently a problem with the M.M. website.
2nd Edit. Link is working.

For this to get any traction the Faux N00Bs would need to attribute the cough to years of smoking those Cuban cigars the Castro boyz have been secretly paying her and Bill with for over fifty years.

Of course we have known it for a long time, but considering the SERIOUS hit she has taken in the polls, she has to drive this home. People’s memories are very short and even if they aren’t this has to be driven home constantly

Mr. Bush glad-handed his way through the fair, eating a deep-fried Snickers bar, drinking a beer before noon

[O’Malley] had a pork chop on a stick today, and it was awesome,

Huckster Bee had grilled meat, probably pork.

And if you’re wondering about the corn caucus there’s this.

. , , the corn caucus, in which voters drop a kernel of corn into a Mason jar for their preferred candidate. There is a steady line to cast a kernel. Mr. Trump’s supporters had filled one jar and were working on a second on Friday morning

FOX Spews: ā€œThe fact that we can’t find any facts or evidence of wrongdoing is just evidence that she’s totally guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt.ā€ And as ironclad ā€˜evidence’ FOXed Noise presents evidence found only at FOXed Noise and cited at FOXed Noise_____ {{{ FOXbots cheer!}}}

FOX, NYT (*The kinder Breitbart) … All the fits that are fit to print. We misrepresent…you decide!

BTW: ManO’Man! When that email shows up where she ordered Tom Brady to deflate those footballs that shiz’ gonna’ hit the fan!
However, when that email shows up where Hillz’ told Putin she was willing to sell Alaska back to Russia, IF that includes the Palin brood, I’m willing to give it very serious consideration.

The Guardian didn’t mention water, but this was the headline of their article.

Hillary Clinton mocks email scandal as Democrat hopefuls meet the faithful

This article is from AP. That little descriptive paragraph detour was hardly subtle. The author obviously aimed to plant an image of her as chocking on her words.

That said, I sent a campaign donation to Lawrence Lessig yesterday – I know its a long shot – but I want him on the podiums with HRC and Sanders.

From what I’ve read this morning in other accounts, Hillary gave a heck of a speech and got a heck of an ovation. As did Bernie Sanders, who spoke next. Not seeing much about what O’Malley and Chaffee said or what kind of reception they got. Nothing about Webb, not sure he attended.

Meanwhile, still no word from Biden? If he’s getting in, he’d better do it pretty damned soon.

Long John Boehner was just pissed because he was finally told that Sec. Clinton’s servers could not bring him a bottle of whiskey.

In case anyone is interested, here’s the text of Clinton’s speech:

Couldn’t find video of Hillary’s speech, except a few clips of her talking about the e-mail / server thing, and the joke about Snapchat.

Closest one I can think of is John Podesta, who is now on the Clinton campaign.

I think Hillary Clinton is the best hope the Democrats have to retain the White House in 2016. I think Hillary will be a good and fascinating POTUS.

That being said, my delight will mainly come from the Republicans LOSING THEIR MINDS for another four years, as they have been entirely ineffective at destroying the wildly successful Obama Presidency- even though they’ve thrown EVERYTHING THEY HAVE AT HIM!

They will of course continue to fire bomb Hillary should she prevail, but perhaps they will be less successful because they will simply have so little ammo left, and the absence of all the nightmares regarding Obamacare will certainly start to become obvious!
