Discussion: Clinton Makes Play For Arizona With Boost Of $2 Million

Good for Hillary. Expand the map. Maybe she can move on to some of the other states with Senators on the ballot.

Very happy to see this. There are House and Senate seats to be gained.

In a normal election, this would mean that republicans had to move money from other states to try and shore up the states where Clinton is spending more. But the GOP is already being outspent, and they’ve already got the ticket they do.

It appears that AZ, OH and IA are the states to target, to consolidate HRC’s lead, if 538 is to trust…

I hope they also put more into GA, i think its a good state to turn Blue for the long term.

Good. I’ve said this before, but it’s particularly relevant when talking about Arizona - I don’t like McCain and any respect I used to have took a giant nosedive after he picked Snowbilly and showed almost zero respect for Obama since then, but I would still find it horrifying if Donnie Deviant got more electoral votes than McCain did.

“Trump’s erratic behavior and now spiraling campaign have left the Republican party in a civil war.”

The GOP base is full of Civil War fans.

Flying treason flags from pickup trucks and state capitols.

Naming streets and schools after traitors.

So nice to see them finally get their own civil war.

You’ve worked hard for this, Republicans, so mazel tov!

Enjoy…

Great to hear! My dad spends the winter/spring here and lives with my sister the rest of the year in Idaho. He’s registered in Arizona. Two votes for Hillary!

On to Utah! (Why not?)

While 538 is showing blue with a little over 50% probability to win AZ, I would be pretty surprised if that happened. Trump is certainly trying hard to push the state to Clinton’s side, though.

Unfortunately, it looks like Kirkpatrick isn’t faring as well against McCain as HRC is against HO, though the last poll for that race was two weeks ago.

I must say that in the last week I, as a resident of Arizona, have been bombarded by emails from Hillary’s campaign asking for donation after donation. I am not particularly wealthy. And I’m retired and so we (Mrs darr and myself) must watch our pennies rather frugally. My Soc Sec check and small pension supports two. But I have been working with my local state senator to attract new voters to get them involved in the process. Hispanics are registering in droves even though the process closed as of Friday for this election.
I’m rooting for Hillary but there’s not much more I can spend for her… beyond my vote.
Arizona could go for her in this election. But more important to me is the majorities in Arizona’s Senate and House. The GOP has held them since 1969. 47 years is too long a time for any party to hold a majority. It’s just not healthy in a democracy. If our state chamber remain as they are then you will see a repeat of what has happened in Kansas … only on steroids. Our governor wants to eliminate state income taxes. The only way that can happen would be to cut 4 billion out of a state budget of 12 billion. Just the thought of what that would do curdles my coffee.

“Donald Trump’s erratic behavior and now spiraling campaign have left the Republican party in a civil war. For months, GOP members put their party ahead of the good of the country by refusing to take the step of condemning Donald Trump’s outrageous and insulting rhetoric. Voters are now seeing through GOP candidates who have made last minute conversions and have tried to save themselves politically, and voters continue to be outraged that some of these candidates are choosing to stick with Donald Trump as his campaign unwinds even further.”

Now that’s a great message – complete, concise, effective, on point, and professional. I’m trying to imagine what it would sound like if it had been issued by the Trump campaign instead – in a Tweet by Trump himself, of course:

CROOKed sHilliary is out of control and is ruining the USA! She just cares about power, power, power, and it’s bad, bad, BAD, let me tell you!!! Things are so bad right now, and only I can make them NOT bad! Anyone saying bad things about me are as CROOKED and RIGGED as sHillary is! They are guilty of back-door, stab-in-the-back, back-room, BAD deals! That’s why you should join ME in stopping all these RIGGED people!!!

Hillary is also spending for ads in Texas.

She’s making sure HO and the GOP sweat a bit more before his ignominious defeat.

I guess he’s determined to crater any remaining respect.

This is the best news we’ll get all week. As Josh was saying earlier, the campaign’s internal polling is often even better than the aggregates, and the Clinton campaign isn’t going to spend money someplace they don’t have a good reason to think they could win. (If it results in McCain losing his senate seat, so much the better!!!)

Ah yeah! As a Utahn it’s not beyond the realm of possibility. Evan McMullin is pulling a lot of voters away from Trump.

Good!

Take old man mcCrank out with your win of AZ!
