Discussion: Clinton Launches TV Ad Criticizing Trump Ahead Of New York Primary (VIDEO)

Hillary must think the primaries are over, but a good ad. Mr. Drumpf will not be pleased. Expect a tweet from him real soon.

What Hillary thinks isn’t the point. It’s what she wants everyone else to think.

Not but what it isn’t pretty close to the “all over ‘cept the cryin’,” stage, of course.

There is no “seems to feature” about it, that was a clip from the Trump rally and the elbow punch. What kind of mealy-mouthed “journalism” is TPM engaging in when a clear fact is labeled “seems to” ?

It’s quite proper for a Dem nominee to attack the Repub front runner. I don’t see it as an assumption of victory by Clinton. I see it more as a reminder of who the real enemy is. I could do with more criticisms of the Republicans by Bernie as well.

Having been born in NYC and living in the Hudson valley I really like the ad and I really like the way Hillary is carrying herself as she takes the slings and arrows of the Republicans and some of the progressives.

Sans Bernie speaks volumns. Nate Silver has article on Sanders inability to win nomination.

Reality time.

It is a great ad, Hillary!! I like it a lot!

Considering it got more coverage than a Kardashian sex tape, you’d think that checking the video archives would be unnecessary, but even that was a smidge too far.

Damned fine ad! Smart move by the Clinton campaign.

Careful, please. I’m finishing up my mocha. The computer screen was just cleaned. :smirk:

As a Bernie supporter, I would just like to say that’s a great ad! Really well done. Hard-hitting, yet doesn’t come off as overly “negative.” One of the better ads I’ve seen this year.

Excellent ad. Poignant without being too sappy, moves quickly but makes the point for diversity and hits at Rump succinctly.

Is it preferable by Bernie supporters that she target him instead?

Kinda damned if she does; damned if she doesn’t.

Nate Silver also predicted my baseball team would be in last or next to last place the last two seasons. They went to the World Series both times. Nate built his reputation on baseball. I am sure he would tell you predictions are hard.

Didn’t say I didn’t like the ad. I do. I am just suggesting that she buy a clue. She is going to need Bernie’s supporters. She is going to turn off a lot of them permanently if she has to rely on “establishment” super delegates in a year when a lot of progressives have identified Debbie Wasserman Schultz as the enemy of the Democratic party.

I like Nate Silver, but there’s no denying that he grew up with a Silver spoon in his mouth.

His family patented that whole “cloud lining” thing.

(hey, you started it.)

Never implied you did.

Aren’t these the same “establishment” super delegates Bernie is trying to manipulate right now?

Nice ad. I suppose it means Clinton’s campaign thinks Trump is going to be the eventual nominee?

I’m not so sure about that right now. I think Cruz, with his underhanded, sneaky tactics, could be well-positioned to upend Trump.

How about an ad from Hillary about what NY values really are?
