Ordinarily, you can drop even Rasmussen out of the numbers and it won’t make much difference or, often, even unexpectedly makes things look worse for the Democrats. But when you drop that USC/LAT poll out, the change in the regression lines is dramatic, whether you do it here or do it at Pollster.
One way or the other, that poll is going to make a splash after Election Day. Only question is whether there’s water in the pool.
I agree with that analysis, its what we have seen play out in every terrorist attack/mass shooting so far. Without fail, Trump proceeds to make it about himself…and that has not gone over well with the American people.
Imagine John McCain’s “the economy is fundamentally sound” followed a few short hours by its such an emergency we must call of the campaigns and the debate and return to D.C. That one event hurt him far worse than Palin did. I remember even republicans turning away after that.

Even MORE interesting is the FACT that “Putin’s Girlfriend” used to be Rupert Murdoch’s WIFE! (and who has pushed the Trump candidacy more than FOX? Nobody.)

For Trump, it’s all a battleground. Even the no-brainer states because of the no-brain factor of the Orange Crush.
It’s interesting to see who takes sides. Russia backing Trump and Trump being in their pockets is info we wouldn’t likely ever get without this race.
Assange has face planted right down into right wing conspiracy status and lost credibility which I personally couldn’t be happier about and the whole leaked/stolen data crowd are hooked up with the Russians and are in bed with our right wing, that’s really interesting and good to know.
Even right down to Chachi and some of our celebrities that have let the cat out of the bag by backing Trump, it’s all good to know.
How about the Republican leadership, which is a gift and a stretch to call guys that sit back and take what happens to them and pretend to like it.
Ryan is scarred eternally, that’s excellent. McConnell, whatever, he just reinforces what we already knew and then there is a long list that The Trump is damaging, including potential future leaders. Rubio-damaged. Ayotte-damaged, Christie-damaged even more. This is a job well done by the Yam.
Poll numbers are one thing but measuring the negativity and long time damage that goes with the numbers is another factor. As long as Hillary leads and Trump acts foolish, the Party is hurt by sticking with him.
Any surprises coming will be, when they bail on him, does he self-implode, will his crazed base go apeshit, what other dirty laundry is going to come out and how long before the weight of it all just crushes him. The Putin thing is much bigger than is being let on, think about what it really means.
So, when Trump takes his pounding he won’t go alone, all the previously unknown but now exposed loons and America underminers will go with.
This is a good thing!

The, Strong Leadership for America, sloganeering is now completely not doable.
The time to be strong, to lead, to do the right thing has passed and with it, any chance of the group of squishy leaders to be seen as tough or strong ever again.

Now I’m sure this is just another witch hunt, but the Republicans’ newest inquiry into whether Hillary purgured herself, does it have any teeth? Haven’t we already been through this? I worry that the constant attack on her character and the email thing could be enough to have her slip in the polls as we get closer, unless of course Dump keeps on being Dump and most people will take her over him no matter what.
Yeah, forgive the use of a sports analogy, but I worry about ‘peaking too early’.

Evil and destructive on the wrong side of history. Comrade Trump’s daughter Ivanka also a Putin tool as she trots the Balkans with Wendy Deng who is Putin’s mistress. This connection was brought on by the Assange attack on Democrats and it’s backfired.Trump son bragged in 2014 that they do biz with Russia and have deals in the works. Assange is a tool of Putin as well.
There is really a lot to dig for here. Ivanka Trump very close to Wendy Deng and just acted as beard on a trip in Balkans with Deng to cover her meeting with lover Putin.
Yes, this revelation alone would sink any other candidate and it should. Trump is such a mangled hot mess that before you can sink your teeth into one colossal nosedive, he’s on to the next. They have added up though and the wreckage is beginning to show, as it should.
There is no skating past this Russian connection/involvement, Manafort is knocked down no doubt because of it. They are trying to downplay being in bed with Putin but there is no such thing as an acceptable amount of dirty deals with one of our main enemies/threats of the last millennium.

Today’s shake-up of the campaign is all about getting past this with out the bomb going off.
The poll numbers also forced the move, the Manafort way wasn’t working and was actually a negative besides the Russian thing.
Trump is in desperation mode now, it’s Hail Mary and hope for the best time.
