You could say a special infrastructure bill is called for…
Here’s to rainbows & unicorns! May the wave of Democratic voters be a tsunami sufficient to provide D majorities in both houses of Congress and the confidence to stand up to the obstructions.
What’s everyone’s plans for election day? I’m baking something decadent to enjoy with my honey as we watch the orange shitgibbon gets crushed by the unprecedented number of women voting.
Talked to some people today. Everyone agrees that we have to get this turned around before a smarter, younger Trump comes along the next time.
2018 will be huge.
The fundamental difference between Mrs. Clinton and all the other candidates.
They all think America is a failure, and needs them to tinker with it to make “work”.
Mrs. Clinton believes our Founders built the greatest governing system in history, and that that system can spread freedom and prosperity around the world, if people work together in the spirit of liberal democracy — an honestly informed people voting freely and accepting majority rule. (Oh, and Congress doing its job.)
She’s the only one right.
there is no smarter and younger Trump over there. There is only Trump and he’s the result of eight years of aiding and abetting those who will likely split the party apart over ‘lack of aid’.
I hope so.
It’s the economy, as always. Hillary has to get a jobs bill through.

where is @squirreltown now?
My mother in law passed away this morning - she was a strangely progressive, old-school dust bowl transplant from Arkansas to the central valley of CA. Her parents had acreage in the south valley, and growing up she would pick cotton before and after school. She moved to the “big city” of Fresno to go to junior college, and she ended up spending the rest of her life there. Her husband died a decade ago but would’ve voted a hundred times for Trump if he could - he was a true Archie Bunker type. She was able to get her vote in by mail before she declined too much, and our last conversation about politics was her simple hope that she would be able to be lucid enough to see the first female president elected. That didn’t happen, but she played her part. Lots of emotions for us going into election day…
A good way to go into Tuesday - with a few more pointed digs at Trump by all the surrogates. People have short memories and need to be reminded why they should not vote for HO.
The guys at the local Ace hardware, which has a gun store in the back between plumbing and automotive, say guns are just about flying off the shelves, and far beyond the predictable, seasonal spike in deer rifles. Glocks, AR-15 clones, big magnum revolvers, “tactical” shotguns, you name it. The gun salesman is convinced it’s due to the election.
So I asked him WTF, are people seriously going to take a life over failure to get their taxes cut by 100 bucks? He says naw, they’re just a bunch of blowhards, don’t worry. He’s convinced they’ll buy the gun, maybe go out in the woods to blaze off a box or three of shells, then get bored and put it in a drawer. So I guess I have to be extra careful whose birthday parties I let my son go.
In Oklahoma, we always have to ask the parents if they have guns before we agree to play dates.
I’m sorry she didn’t get to see Hillary’s win, but I am glad that she got to vote for her.
I’m off to Philadelphia from Baltimore, where I’ve already voted for Hillary, to turn out the vote in the state of my prior residence, which opens the window for citizens to make their voices heard only for 24 hours every two years. No extended voting in Penn’s Wood. My goal for tomorrow and Tuesday is to give a lift to those who need a ride to the polls in America’s Commonwealth of Civic Inconvenience.
It’s winning time.
GO GET 'EM and thanks for your hard work!!!
I love this speech!
Hillary, I believe in you!
When they go low, we go high.
Love you Hill, and can’t wait to call you Madam President! Let’s do this!
I’m a huge fan of Barack Obama, but one thing I fault him for is not, in my view, paying sufficient attention to the need to get Democratic voters energized for off-year elections. I’m hoping this will be near the top of Hillary’s priority list.
