The idea that funds need to be filtered through something like a foundation to potentially influence their behavior seems so quaint when one can just give a billion dollars directly to the candidate’s PAC. That the republicans screaming over this the loudest are those who are currently competing in the “who wants to be my sugar-daddy” competition for the most effective bowing and scraping to the billionaire class is amusing to say the least.
