I am signed up for a text notice, Think that was last week.
Wonder if she’ll still announce in the midst the Munich shooting coverage.
The New York Times reported on Friday morning that Clinton had narrowed her picks to Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, and Labor Secretary Thomas Perez, with Kaine as the favorite. Clinton is also considering Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ).
Man, here’s hoping that the media doesn’t know what it is talking about. Because that is a depressing shortlist. Kaine of course being on the bottom of my list. He’d be as inspired of a choice as Joe Lieberman was for Al Gore.
Late Edit: I admit that I don’t know that much about Tom Perez, but as per @avattoir’s suggestion, I read up on him and he actually seems like he could be a good choice. But Kaine and Vilsack… no thank you.
I thought you were referencing the Beer Hall Putsch, then I clicked on BBC.
Hopefully it will be Kaine. Then you will have two centrist Democrats running against 2 right wing nutjob Republicans. This will really help defeating the Toilet/Paper team.
Clinton / Kaine
On to the White House.
“The New York Times reported on Friday morning that Clinton had narrowed her picks.”
I understand Michelle Obama has an opening in her schedule.
From 2017 through 2024, if I’m not mistaken.
Don’t worry, Donnie Drumpf will have a competing Tweetstorm blaming Munich on President Obama.
VP choice could be a real dark horse if it’s literally their FIRST joint appearance.
What a wonderful idea!. The sound of GOP heads exploding would be well worth it.
Hahaha, love it!
No, the Beer Hall Putsch just ended last night in Cleveland.
It IS a great idea, but I have a feeling if you were to ask our wonderful FLOTUS, she would start laughing hysterically and possibly be unable to stop
I hope it’s not Elizabeth Warren, I think she could be of more service continuing as a Senator, as has been said in these forums before.
I made the mistake of going over the kos today, because it’s been relatively sane there lately…what a stupid mistake on my part. The place is melting, and the great Kos himself is fanning the flames (much like he allowed pie fights to continue on and on and on during the primary because site hits and ads and whatnot). DUH, I am so stupid sometimes.
I thought it must be a head fake when both POTUS and her husband said they preferred Kaine. Damn, look how careful, disciplined, and lip-tight her team is. Striking contrast with the other side.
Whoever she picks,I trust her. She has her reasons.
Did you see Michelle on this “Carpool Karaoke” thing? Absolutely charming. I’ve always liked her but now I think it’s love. If @Chammy sees it she’ll just go nuts.
My money’s on General Stradivarius.
edit: Oh well. Lost again.
!!! CLINTON/KAINE 2016 !!!
Yes, co-sign wholeheartedly. She has her reasons, and we all need to remember she has information about the candidates we have no access to.
