Discussion: Clinton Declines To Participate In Fox News Dem Debate

As she should, I wish she would have gone further and said “Fox “News” is not a legitimate news network, it has no interest in contributing to this great experiment we call America except to do whatever is in its power to destroy it.”

Let’s hope President Clinton shuns them for the next 8 years too. F them and the horse they rode in on.

Not surprising, as previously discussed on TPM. She has nothing to gain by this debate, especially on a Fox (anti-Clinton, anti-Democratic) ‘yet another’ same old, same old, finger-wagging debate. Smart decision.

The Fox moderators would have attempted to crucify both Clinton and Sanders, but Clinton especially.

A wise decision, I think. I can’t believe that she or Sanders has anything new to add that didn’t get said in the previous debates and and my reaction to another one is meh. Soon enough the presidential debates are coming up. I don’t believe that she or Sanders has anything to gain from another debate and Fox News is not offering this for the benefit of the Democtatic candidates. More likely they would just sow discord where they could.
Edited for autocorrect nonsense.

Good for you, Sec. Clinton. Don’t allow Sanders and his surrogate, Fox News, to goad you into giving him free airtime. He has repeatedly disrespected you and your voters, and you owe him nothing.

Good. No upside for her. Nothing new to debate on and Bern has poisoned the well.

Good. I can’t imagine it would be anything other than Bernie pulling up in his candy van and unloading cages full of rats for him and the rest of Faux News to fuck straight in the ass. It would be the ultimate in watching Sanders and his supporters adopt right wing talking points and attacks solely because they think it’s how they can get what they want, even if it’s at the expense of everything.

Atta girl!

What’s she afraid of? Maybe she’ll take the evening to collect her notes on the private speeches she gave Wall St., promising them the moon and stars as long as they funded her campaign.

That was snark, right?

3…2…1…Clinton running scared from debate to desperately seek votes in final primaries to prove her legitimacy…does Bernie have her on the run…might this be a sign he could win CA? Yadda yadda something something?

Good. Absolutely no reason for this debate. Nothing new to be learned. Nothing new to be gained. No point in letting Fox attack her. No point in giving Old Man Smithers another forum to spout GOP smears against her. Fox and Sanders can go fuck themselves.

Guess what, champ? You lose. Two weeks from now, almost no one in the public eye will be talking about her speeches. It’s an idiotic non-issue the press allowed Sanders to flog because they were in desperate need of more horsey racey. You fell for it, and soon no one with any sense will even pretend to care about Clinton getting paid the same as Shaq to talk to the same crowd.

The assured tone of this statement is very impressive. Sanders can’t say this because it’s not at all likely, and trumpet can’t say it because he doesn’t know most of these words exist.

"We believe that Hillary Clinton’s time is best spent campaigning and meeting directly with voters across California and preparing for a general election campaign that will ensure the White House remains in Democratic hands," Palmieri said in the statement.

If you were serious you’d be Salon. And I use the word “serious” loosely, but you know what I mean.

OK, so, I know that’s meant positively, but wasn’t there some sort of kerfluffle a while back about “atta girl” as patronizing condescension? Was it Romney? I can’t remember. Anyone?

Serious like herpes? (i.e., recurring lifelong annoyance that cannot be cured?)

In the South they say “Serious as a heart attack.” Whatever ails Salon is more neurological, though.
