Discussion: Clinton Camp: Sanders' Trying To Overturn 'The Will Of The Voters'

Robby Mook is being clearly disingenuous about the number of voters that have voted in the nominating process. All of the caucus states (most of which Sanders has won) do not report vote totals, and only report delegate totals.

Sanders would get cut to pieces in battleground states in Virginia and Florida…it is poliitcally
naive to think the ads playing saying he is going to raise the taxes on middle class won’t hurt…
I know I know but free tuition…but that won’t matter…

For all the claims to purity emanating from the Sanders’s crew, their desperation to get delegates by any means is starting to look about as fresh as the virgin slush to me.

Mook is right.

“The Sanders campaign’s path forward relies on overturning the will of the voters…”

So, only Black votes from Southern States should be counted towards the Democratic nomination? And none of the States to come should be included?

I hope the folks from New York note this when they vote in a couple weeks-- according to Hillary’s campaign, your votes shouldn’t count.

Hillary, this is how you lose the support of the liberals.

Secretary Clinton does have a substantial non-Republican mathematical lead because the voters have been expressing their wishes. Super delegates are what the political parties use to overturn the will of the voters.

Ummm… that’s how it works. Since the Democrats were stupid enough to create the “superdelegates” in the first place, at some point you need to get them.

So only Clinton is allowed to woo them?

Can the voters please finish voting before we determine what the will of the voters is? New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and California haven’t voted yet, to name just 4. Just because your state votes early shouldn’t mean you get to decide the election before everyone votes. I know that Clinton’s campaign wants this to be over with, but Sanders does get to run too. It’s not an affront to the democratic process to want the elections to count!

Mook is competing with Drumpf for today’s bozo pin.

The Dem establishment needs to get rid of the Hillary mafia in the party needs to make our votes count.

Super delegates are for Republican fascist!

Can’t have it both ways, can’t go around calling super-delegates evil and at the same time say your going to depend on them to win. If super-delegates are in play, then Sanders is much much much further behind.

The Republican Party wishes they had super delegates at the same level as the Democrats do. They would be far less vulnerable to the Trump insanity.

Then why is Sanders team trying to use super delegates to overturn the voters?

How about we assign him 42% of them then? Right now he’s got practically none. Would you agree to that proportion? It would probably give him about 250 more delegates than he has right now.

Super delegates are in place to prevent races like what the Republicans are having right now, where you have a bunch of people and someone ends up in the lead without a majority of support, but that isn’t the case on the Democratic side, there is only 2 people running and one person is winning in pretty much every way you can count.

Sure why not, which means he has lost. Either way he lost.

Not remotely what they’re for. They were created to keep an outsider insurgent candidate from stealing the nomination from the party leaders’ chosen candidate. They’re doing exactly what they’re designed to do, boost the preferred candidate of the establishment and diminish the chances of the outsider.

Can we please finish having the elections before we decide who won them?

You have to play by the rules of the game as they are, not as you would wish them to be.

So of course he will collect superdelegates. What, he should just concede all 1200 to Hillary? That would make no sense at all.

Yup. And it’s becoming a great civics lesson to voters of both parties this cycle.

How cute that voters actually thought that their votes would ever count.

No it wouldn’t make sense. But he is playing both sides, on one hand he says that superdelegates shouldn’t count and then on the other he is saying they should overturn the vote.
