Discussion: Civil Rights Groups Warn Against Return To Bush-Era Politicization Of DOJ Hiring

The ONLY way Republicans hold on to power over the next 4 - 8 years is if they are able to suppress the vote. THIS is the central issue of any RESISTANCE. Nothing else matters!

Racist Republican Perjuring Hack Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III is politicizing the Justice Department? Who could have seen this coming?

Republicans are antidemocratic fascists. Every single one of them. If they’re not actively trying to deny American citizens their right to vote, they’re enabling the ones that are and profiting off of their efforts.

Prepping to double down on the egregious behaviors of W’s DOJ. Why do they hate Americans so much?

The conservatives argued that voter ID cases were “were needlessly brought” and that racial gerrymandering cases could “drag almost a decade” and waste “millions of taxpayer dollars” in order to “[pervert] voting laws to engineer political advantage.”

And once again, for what seems like the millionth fucking time, we see a favorite conservative tactic: accusing others of that which they themselves are guilty. Their base does it too, calling librulz racists, or sheep, or auhoritarians who want to trample individual rights.

Haven’t you heard? That’s what being patirotic means nowadays.

This tactic actually immunizes the proponent by making it look like “both sides” do it. It is very effective, if disgusting.

Indeed. It’s just that it drives me crazy, and the thing where the call us racists has been on the upswing lately - I can’t read the comments section on any article from a MSM new site (yeah, stupid to bother, I know) without seeing it. It makes me pop a brain vein.

Hans von Spakovski and Kobach have done more to restrict voter rights than anyone else in a long time. They are just evil.

Doesn’t matter. Sessions and the rest will ignore all the rules anyway because their only goal is the acquisition of power in the short-term…which they believe they can then use to change all those rules in their favor to gain long-term entrenchment.

This is why I don’t understand why the civil right division of the Drunken Frat Boy administration, was not arrested and tried. Take Bradley Scholzman, for instance. This prick hired and fired people in the division based on his idea of what a ‘good American’ was. The criteria was if you were a Bushie or not. Then after the Thumpin of 2006 and Congressional oversight was no longer a joke, Scholzman tried to blame Monica Goodling, the pride of Liberty University’s law school, for everything.

When Obama took over, AG Eric Holder decided not to prosecute, which I disagreed with, violently.

This is what “blowing it up” looks like.
