Discussion: Cindy Yang's Donations For Trump Photo-Op Raise Possibility She Broke Law

¿!Que?! Yang’s donations to Toadglans “possibly” broke the law? Shocking! I’ll add it to the list.

Damn, those receptionists at seedy massage joints sure make some damned good $$$ to have an extra $5K in discretionary funds laying around to just give to strangers.

“determined” to raise the $50,000 necessary to get a photo with the President.

Necessary? Is that the price these days? Seems a bit high to me.

Disturbing that it’s all for sale

Seems a bit low to buy access. That’s like junior-level mob shit for a shakedown.

And while it would have been illegal for Yang to pay Peranio back for the contribution, Peranio told the Times “I do not want to answer that question” when asked if Yang had done so.

See: Amendment. 5th

And Donnie’s take

"If you are not guilty of a crime, what do you need immunity for?" Trump said at a campaign rally in Florida in September.

"The mob takes the Fifth Amendment," Trump said at a campaign event in Iowa later that month. "If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?"

As I’ve said before, we haven’t heard the worst yet, even now. A lot more spool still to unreel. And I have to wonder how many more Cindy Yangs are out there. We only became aware of her because of an investigation into South Florida massage parlors. Otherwise?

The worst thing about Trump may not be that’s he’s selling us out -and he undoubtedly is - it’s that he’s such an insatiably greedy and horrible businessman, he’s doing it for peanuts.

Haven’t we learned by now that rules are only for little people? (In other words, rules are only for Democrats.)

It’s a Ray Kroc thing – you sell cheap but make your profit on volume, volume, VOLUME!! Come on down! Our President’s Day Sale has been extended!

Yup. If I was President and wanted to sell the country down the river, I’d assuredly be doing it for the big stuff.

Should be able to get tens if not hundreds of millions out of countries like China or Russia in exchange for favorable treatment…

This low-level shit is just laughable.

ETA: Could have made Gaido and Maduro bid against each other for my support… Sad, so many possibilities!

Long story about the insatiably greedy and failed real estate developer at the Atlantic. Here’s a link to the story, no paywall, but this is what I want people to know because it’s a clue into his hostility towards Maxine Waters.

Fatso in 1990 was planning to develop a 125-story on the site of the old Ambassador Hotel in LA where a school had also been proposed which LA Unified School District was in favor of. Cut to the chase:

But the school district had a powerful ally: Assemblywoman Maxine Waters, the future representative from California (and future target of derogatory presidential tweets), who helped find funding for the high school. Trump, fighting off creditors elsewhere, threw in the towel.

@mattinpa Because Atlantic. Again.

I hope you saw The Founder, about Kroc and how he took control from the McDonald brothers and squeezed them out.

Another case where the RNC and Trump Campaign can happily claim ignorance–and where they happily surround themselves with the kinds of people ready, willing, and able to do this kind of stuff. Hear no, see no, speak no…

I’ve read about his shark-like ways, but I’ll have to look for that! Of course, who would imagine that somebody trying to slowly kill the populace with bad food would turn out to have a mean streak…

So… I guess that helps explain this:

Played by Michael Keaton, usually the good guy, and (spoiler alert), he also steals his best friend’s wife, Joan. It’s a worthwhile flick.

I feel a little sorry for the straw donors. Break the law or lose your job.

There’s a reason there’s no “Smell no evil” monkey – it reeks to high heaven if your nostrils aren’t compromised.

Sometimes in front a rube rally when it’s getting too quiet for him, he’ll just say her name “Maxine Waters!” and the crowd roars. She’s the chair of Financial Services and is looking into his dealings and talking about it on at least MSNBC. He’s got big butt hurt.
