OK, so–they told us a bunch of useful stuff. Maybe the torture helped. We’ll never really know. So let’s fuggedaboudit.

So, the practical benefits of interrogation techniques that we know for certain will cause our enemies to hate us even more, that we know for certain bring shame to every American citizen on the planet, that we know for certain are morally and ethically wrong, are “unknown and unknowable”.
