Discussion: Chuck Todd Lands Obama Interview For 'Meet The Press' Debut

Discussion for article #227274

Todd’s first question: “Sir, some say you haven’t reached out to Republicans enough in your two terms. Would you say that was the major reason why some people call your Presidency a catastrophic failure?”

Todd’s second question: “That John McCain: What a statesman, amirite?”

“Mr. President, do you think you owe the nation an apology for wearing that tan suit?”

“Do you accept accountability for the situation in Iraq you created? Have you figured out a strategy yet?”

“Do you have any regrets for not kissing enough Republican ass?”

“It really is all your fault, isn’t it?”

“Mr. President, does your Manchurian Candidate background as the ISIS sleeper agent for the destruction of America conflict with your Communo-Socialist Plans to Destroy our Republic?”

Why, why, why give the ultimate “false equivalence” “reporter” this kind of support? Todd is a gossip mongering opinion talking head who will make for ratings (maybe) but not for an educated viewer.

If only it were possible to like a comment more than once.

MORE TODD: “There are those who consider you a tyrannical dictator, what are you doing to change that?”

Why does Barry contribute to his own demise by legitimizing another yet neoconman? Chuckles is a particularly sub-par one too.

The interview is expected to cover news of the day including the threat posed by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, relations with Russia and Ukraine, the Ebola outbreak, and midterm elections.

But will actually cover his birth certificate, the ObamaCare website, William Ayers, mom jeans, or whatever the right wing conspiracy of the day is.

“You know, some people are saying…”

This will give Todd a chance to dive right into his Republican talking points right away without wasting time. I wonder if Reince Priebus will be texting Todd questions during the show.

Todd’s first question : "Osama, oh sorry I mean Obama, people
say…(insert BS here)…

The administration knows why they are allowing the president to sit with Todd. New face on MTP and first in the chair means he’ll have lots of audience. The president I suppose wants to get a message out.

I give Todd 4 years sitting in the chair.

I’d like to see Obama come and just make the most ridiculous over the top statements about how great he is and how horrible the GOTPers are.

Because as we all know, Chucky’s job isn’t to correct people on stuff like that.

I hope the President doesn’t disturb Chunk, Joe and Luke’s digestion of Green Room yeast rolls with overly liberal answers.

Obama should go all “Between Two Ferns” on Chuckie and watch him melt into a sputtering blob of stupid. hominahominahomina.

I’ve seen the more adroit politicians (from both parties) dance easily around some of these questions without getting flustered and still seeming to answer the question while getting their talking points across. Obama is such an expert.

Will not watch it regardless. Like Obama but never Chuck Todd.
