If this passes the Senate, can Obama line item out some of the more aggregious stuff?
So it’s not what they can do for the country, It’s who can screw over the country better to have leverage against the other when it’s time to really screw you over.

Sorry, but (originally) Pelosi, Reid and Obama backed this bill. Lobbied for it. Warren is the reason that there is opposition.

That was before a bunch of riders were added at the last moment. Once that was done, Pelosi dropped her support and starting speaking out against it.
But you are correct, I think. There is something serious going on within the party the past week or so. And its all centered around Elizabeth.

Unless this bill materially changed since last we’ve heard this is truly an outrage.
Lawrence O’Donnell said that Harry Reid is going to open up discussions on it tomorrow rather than voting tonight, and Liz Warren is still punching hard, so there’s hope.
Hoping for more updates on what’s in the bill that passed…

Warren has brilliantly carved out an election issue that should hurt the Republicans and anybody who voted in favor of bailing out the banks. The President isn’t running again, but members of Congress are. Warren’s crystal-clear explanations on the floor of the Senate in the last two days should haunt everybody who voted against her.

And you know what’s really crazy about that?
When you are screwing over the masses, you usually want them distracted and being stoned is a great way to do that.
So basically they are saying its not enough that we are screwing you, we aren’t going to allow vasoline because we WANT you to feel the pain.

Something very odd is going on behind the scenes. The first sign was Reid appointing Warren to a newly created, but basically toothless, leadership position…yet he clearly showed reluctance about doing so. Then she started jumping on Obama’s undersecretary appointment…and actually gathering support from other Dem Senators.
And then the late, but spirited, fight against this bill, which again showed people I wouldn’t have suspected getting into her corner.
So the big question is why did Reid choose to raise up a Progressive voice? I have heard rumors he is planning on retiring in 2016, but still…why would he want to elevate a wing of the party he really doesn’t care a thing about?
