Discussion: Christie's Office Does Damage Control On Vaccine Remarks

Discussion for article #232747

“What I’m saying is that it’s pretty clear from my reaction to the earlier Ebola scare, I don’t have a fucking clue about the governance of Public Health, and the American people need to remember that during my Presidential campaign.”

“Christie’s Office Does Damage Control On Vaccine Remarks”

And that damage control is “I never said what I said!”

Is there such a thing as damage control for abject stupidity?

In other words, “One nurse who doesn’t have ebola should be quarantined in a tent without heat, but 30 children who actually do have a dangerous disease (the measles) should be able to do whatever they want.” What remarkable consistency he has. Wow.

This is what happens when your entire party philosophy is the opposite of whatever Obama says.

Christie will say ANYTHING to grab attention.
He feels absolutely NO OBLIGATION to be in any way connected to the truth!

…is addicted to magical thinking in every conceivable sphere of public and private life. Cutting taxes to the bone = more jobs. Terry Schiavo = brain activity detectable by video. Abstinence only = no teen pregnancies. Social Security = confiscatory socialism. Ted Nugent = patriotic Christian. Sarah Palin = qualified to be President. Firearms regulations = government oppression. Embryology = Lies from the pit of Hell. Age of the earth = 10,000 years. Fracking waste = not a pollutant.

The amazing thing is that I could spend at least two more hours itemizing the ridiculous twaddle that Republicans believe.

I guess the vaccine remark was just “a bridge too far”. But seriously, this motherfucker is toast. It’s like saying people should be allowed to drive drunk in school zones after classes are let out. What an asshole - and that was even BEFORE this insidious opinion of his.

He’s like a cat trying to cover shit on a marble floor—somewhat amusing to watch, but making a stinking mess that someone else will have to clean up.

Seems like Christie is the new romney. Remember he would say something in the morning and his staff would take it back in the afternoon. Same old bullshit.

In a parallel, insane universe in which Christie is elected President, he names Jenny McCarthy Secretary of Health and Human Services . . .

“…no parent cares about anything more than they care about protecting their own child’s health…” Well, first of all, if this were in any way true, we would have no need for CPS. But more specifically, when you have people like this Wolfson guy - http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/30/health/arizona-measles-vaccination-debate/ - (sorry, autoplay video in link), you need to address the issue of it NOT being just their child at risk. It’s all fine and dandy that he supposedly cares about his child’s health, but he’s putting the health of other children at risk. So what’s your excuse for that, Christie?

That’s a GREAT analogy!

Or Surgeon General.

At least he did not end the interview by calling the journo a moron or ordering him to sit down and shut up !!!
