To be fair, he chose a damn good pub to watch it in.

And in soccer we actually do get teams that can truly be called “world champions” - enjoyed the Super Bowl but that bit is always a bit galling.

Christie is trying to create a foreign affairs cred ahead of 2016, and I’m no political scientist, but this isn’t the way to do it since back home they’ll just find reasons to dislike him even more mainly because he’s not back home.

What other Football team (the American kind) do you propose would beat the Patroits? If none, they’re the World Champions. Baseball you’d have a better argument that the title is presumptuous.

That, to me, is the point. Doesn’t Christie have things to take care of in his state? He doesn’t seem to be spending much time in NJ even though he is the governor.
