I can offer you a variety pack if the regular wood from @mattinpa doesn’t work. I have offcuts of Western Red Cedar, Poplar, Alder, Cherry, Red Oak, Soft Maple, Ambrosia Maple, Hickory and Quartersawn White Oak.
Offer limited to stock on hand, which tends to accumulate and grow because I don’t have a wood burning fireplace.
I find myself going back and forth on Christie, sometimes I hear something and I say never again will I tolerate Christie and at other times I find myself in alignment.
This is one of those ‘in alignment’ times
Pruitt was never qualified plus he’s a complete sellout to natural gas corporations.
As if the GOP in general isn’t looking bad enough, now the standard-bearers are publicly admitting that lunacy occupies and surrounds the WH. I simply cannot believe the polls that show Trump’s approval rating above 40%.
What is he taking Ben Carson’s brain pills he pimps on Fox?
Who knows, maybe Pruitt will pick Carson for VP.
I am just in shock to even read Pruitt would entertain Presidency then again Putin got Trump elected, he could probably get Pruitt elected.
All profits for Putin come from natural gas now, oil is taking back seat, Pruitt would be a great prostitute for Putin’s political harem. He would be a BIG earner for sure.
he is using his perch as Mr. Trump’s deregulatory czar to position himself for further political prominence — starting with a run for office in his home state of Oklahoma. He is widely viewed as a future candidate for senator or governor there, and Mr. Pruitt has made it known that if the president replaces his beleaguered attorney general, Jeff Sessions, he would be ready to step into the job.
If Pruitt actually does the leave the EPA, then the question becomes who would be even worse than him to run the agency, because that is the pattern we are talking about here. Trump just can’t get enough of nominating people that make progressives scream. My money is on Steve King or Jim Inhofe.
I did see Pruitt as a possible replacement for AG. First round it spooked me. Second round hearing that, it spooked me in fact? I’m STILL spooked after hearing that. One can only imagine the damage potential.
I find it interesting the LEAST desirable city to live in was on the border of Oklahoma (was a study end of last year in the news), it was #1 worst city to live in in the entire US because of the California ranked earthquakes it experienced, and because of that, it had massive high unemployment and property value decline. Arguable as to whether the Earthquakes that JUST SHOWED UP 1 year after fracking started? are from fracking? But I mean, gee- we see this in SO many regions where fracking has taken place.
I even started to think, gee, if fracking leads to more earthquakes, so much for stability for say- the Keystone pipeline, or other pipelines… The grand irony, the drilling leads to earthquakes which lead to collapse of the pipeline infrastructure - all it would take is one massive leak on a natural gas pipeline to skyrocket methane in the atmosphere. BP just had a leak on massive proportion in Alaska last year, keep in mind CH4 - methane is 32 times MORE potent than CO2 at trapping heat…
Anyway - Pruitt’s own state is a disaster and all he can think is ‘Wow - Enron made ALL that money creating natural gas contracts’, and now post 2008 - hundreds of billions, 10 + TRILLION according to Trump’s new White House Energy webpage I read- are just SITTING THERE waiting to be used as an energy resource to lessen dependency on foreign energy - oh WAIT - SILLY ME - I forgot- all that natural gas from fracking gets sold to CHINA because they pay more ! Silly me…
Pruitt’s concept of an energy policy and safety at EPA is a threat to the human race, and a threat to every child’s future as his chase for money grubbing profits sells out the future of humanity.
Seems like the Jersey Whale may be thinking about a 2020 primary challenge. I just wish someone would ask Christie what Stormy Daniels feels like. Both of them having been fucked by Trump.
“If Mr. Pruitt is going to go, it’s because he should have never been there in the first place,” Christie, now an ABC News contributor, told “This Week” host George Stephanopoulos.
“We could have told you that when you appointed him.”
–Everyone in Oklahoma
He was a disaster as the AG in Oklahoma as well. He could be counted on for conservative opinions, written by the counsel of the lobby group that wanted the opinion. He seems to be using the same playbook at EPA.
ETA. There’s a real possibility that conservatives are circling the wagon with respect to Trump, buyers remorse notwithstanding. These folks are feeling extremely threatened in spite of their holding all three branches of goverment. In spite of a good economy gifted by Obama, stuff is really fucked up and conservatives really don’t have much in the way of “good news” to proclaim. Where are the “beau geste” accomplishments, like, for example, Ike’s highway system, LBJ’s great society, Nixon, yes Nixon’s EPAand other environmental accomplishments, Obama’s Obamacare. There ain’t any. Buyer’s remorse is often associated by a tendency to adhere even more closely to the decision to purchase an inferior product.
Charles thought Jared’s role in this WH could lead to his redemption and he could gain new stature along with new business opportunities and it would erase memories of his time spent in jail in AL making wallets. Not going to happen.
The elder Mr. Kushner, his company and his family are assailed by criminal and regulatory inquiries largely rooted in their newfound access to presidential power. The family’s East Coast-based real estate empire is under a fiscal and ethical cloud, shunned by some investors who fear being dragged into the spotlight trained on the Kushner nexus with President Trump. Two major Manhattan properties are on creditors’ watch lists, one after foreign investors backed out of a financing deal.
A friend pointed this out to me; about 40% of the eligible electorate did not vote. The resulting count was about evenly split between HRC and PP which means that it took only about 30% of the electorate to put him in office.
As to elevated popularity levels, it impossible to understand but Barr’s new TV show and her frank appeal to PP voters and her personal support for him might be a factor. After a handful of shows it’s been renewed for another season.
Trump’s approval ratings have been wiggling around in the same narrow range for the last year or so.
They’ve been pretty consistent for the last month or so.
Turns out that a lot of Americans are stupid, crazy, bigoted, and/or venal and corrupt.
