Discussion: Christie Leads GOPers In Call-And-Response Kangaroo Court For Clinton

“The next year, she said our goal was to strengthen Russia,” Christie said. “Strengthen an adversary led by a dictator who dreams of reassembling the old Soviet empire? What a dangerous lack of judgment.”

Ahem. Uh, Crusty, you know you’re talking about a man your master deeply admires, right?

I found this spectacle to be quite sickening - Christie basically created a “trial by mob” which made a mockery of the principles of the American judicial system. The crowd seemed to get into it, making me even more offended by the attitudes of the Republican base.

Sickening. Yes. Not to mention the son’s indictment of Chicago’s “tough” gun laws when the real culprit in Chicago’s high gun violence rate is Indiana’s lax laws that make for easy transport of gun show bought guns from a state with little gun purchase regulation to the streets of the tough gun law state.

4 plus months of this buffoon. I can live with this, knowing that at the end of it, he will be relegated to political obscurity.
What a colossal way to throw away any political future he may have left when we vote his ass out of NJ.
Thank you for doing the country a favour.

You are so right about where the guns in Chicago come from. Did you buy Donald Jr’s contention that his Dad hung around with truck drivers and construction workers? How about Donald Jr’s claim that he has tremendous insight into the public school system - that’s believable, right?

The real writer of the book that started the Trump myth is not buying it. So neither am I.

Mr. Bridgegate seems to feel that the Trump crowd is qualified to serve as an impartial jury … with Trump as the judge and himself as the prosecutor in this faux indictment of Clinton.
It’s fun to play “make believe”, but it’s not reality.

Somewhat akin to the notion that Donald will ever live in the White House.

same as that Obama pic

Asking about Christie’s loyalties.

By the way, that picture is from Feb '16.

I don’t know how many minority voters will watch this shitshow, but I couldn’t help thinking how various minority groups would undoubtedly perceive what they saw. For black folks, an crowd of angry white people demanding sentencing without trial would likely evoke thoughts of lynch mobs. I have no doubt that many black folks will have a visceral reaction to that scene. I think it will have a similar effect on women. An arena full of angry people demanding that a woman be sentenced for a crime she was found not to have even committed. There’s something very reminiscent of a Salem Witch Trial. And for Latino, Asian, and other minorities, I imagine that scene was a brutal reminder of the very totalitarian regimes they or their families escaped to come here. There was a hateful, out of control, mob feel to it that I think will strike a chord with minorities in a way the GOP never intended (or maybe they did).

i went into Google, because Christie doesn’t seem to have a discriminate button when it comes to hugging people from the other side of the aisle.

By the way, that pic occurred around the time Christie joined the clamor to prosecute her.

I was thinking about that yesterday! It did look like he temporarily lost weight after the surgery, but he’s still pretty close to the pre-surgery FATass. Not sure if there’s such a thing as rebound weight gain after a gastric surgery…
