Discussion: Christie: Hillary Clinton Is 'A Disgrace' For Comparing GOPers To 'Terrorist Groups'

Discussion for article #239913

Disgrace “you betcha”

“Chris Christie doubles down on immigrant tracking plan: ‘If FedEx can do it, why can’t we?’”

“Well, there’s a uniter, isn’t it? Comparing Republicans to terrorist groups. There’s a real uniter. That’s the woman you want sitting in the Oval Office to bring our country back together,” Christie told Wallace.

Because Christie is all about unity.

I guess if she just said Republicans want the terrorists to conquer America, like Republicans say of Obama, that would have been acceptable to Christie.

Christie’s Trump impression comes a bit late as does outrage from all the sputtering outrage machines. Outrage should be reserved for the tragic aftermath of Bush/Cheney hubris flooding into Europe.

I would rather have a Presidential candidate treat the majority of the USA population with the respect that their bodies, their lives, and their ability to have a choice matters. Does Christie not understand that the GOP legislators have had more votes on telling women that their choices, their experiences, and lives don’t matter? Don’t terrorists define the other as not worthy of respect?

Go Hillary. Learn from Trump – don’t back down!

We’ve heard this one often enough to define it, I think. By “divider” they mean a person who accurately criticizes their Neolithic views on gender relations, or who points out—again, accurately—that their policies are, to put it mildly, a raw deal for any but the plutocrats. Basically a divider is anyone, really, who says something perfectly true about how much the GOP is a menace to Americans, the human race, the planet, and as far into space as it can reach. By this logic some of the most reflexively antagonistic people who’ve ever lived—Trump, Cruz, and Christie himself come to mind—are “uniters.” And as of this pleasant Sunday we have always been at war with Eastasia. Gotta love it, man.

Christie is a fat, fucking fraud. He should sit down and shut up.

Last President to say “I’m a Uniter and not a Divider” was an asshole that ran the country into the ground, spending 8 years dividing the American electorate and turning the country into a pariah around the globe. That President’s party has continued doing so methodically since the 1980’s.

The Rump party of the GOP has put Hispanics, Women, Young people, Blacks, Gays, Muslims, people who care about our destruction of the Earth, and you-name-it into categories not worthy of this party’s support or attention.

Hillary was right…it takes a village and these GOPers simply don’t want to be a part of that global village, nor do they care one whit about anyone but the 1%, who they support blindly and without question.

What’s noticeably absent from Christie’s diatribe is any argument why Clinton was wrong in what she said.

Shorter Christie: Complaining about our divisive anti-women policies is divisive. Women should just lie back and take it. So there.

To go back to '70s lingo: He’s a sexist pig.

What Hillary Clinton said about terrorists and Republicans with regards to their views about the role women should have in the decisions affecting their bodies, futures and lives in general was Spot-On. Republicans, by very large majorities, hold extreme views on women’s rights – and so do our enemies, the terrorists so many Republican lawmakers compare to President Obama.

Truth hurts, eh, Christie?

This is how I view Gov. Christie: He can bloviate to his heart’s content, but since he’s so very far from a shiny objects I believe the news media should stop giving him a platform from which to spew his hot air. He has absolutely nothing new–or of any substance–to add to the national dialogue. He’s not even as entertaining–if you want to call it that–as Donald Trump, Bloviator in Chief.

If you wanna talk about “disgrace,” Christie’s definitely your man.

There’s no need to mention his weight problem – the rest of your description is more than adequate to cover every aspect of his odiousness.

Right–Christie just flat doesn’t even try to rebut Clinton’s point. His anger with how she said what she said, he hopes, will cause people not to notice that he doesn’t engage at all with what she said.

It’s amazing. For years these people have been comparing President Obama to Hitler, to Stalin, calling him a secret Muslim terrorist ISIS supporter who is ready to march Israel “to the oven’s doors” – but Hillary makes one little (and quite accurate) quip during a campaign and these drama queens suddenly have to retire to the fainting couch. What a bunch of hypocritical phonies.

Name-calling…its all they’ve got. They have no policies…and putting barcodes, microchips, ankle monitors on people, or using electric dog fences on the southern border, or building 1900 miles of gold-plated shiny walls isn’t coming from any deep thinkers in their party either. What’s next…moats with alligators and poisonous snakes and drawbridges and hot oil cauldrons to rein down on wall-climbers?

Obviously its the best they have to offer, but its not exactly based on anything other than wishful thinking, bigotry and intolerance. We have yet to hear one word resembling anything that remotely looks like a serious policy or proposal…on anything.

Btw, didn’t see where in the article it says whether the interviewer bothered to confront that dunderhead on his fascist ideas of tagging immigrants like wild game.
