AP- July 17, 2018- Gov. Chris Christie today acknowledged that since early January of this year he has been helping prepare President Trump for his as yet to be agreed upon interview with Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
When asked to comment upon previous denials Christie had been tasked with helping prepare Trump, counsel to the President Rudy Giuliani said "Why is it you always presume Christie lied? It was a mistake, that's all, honest to God, a mistake. he didn't lie I tell you."that could be true, he volunteered his services (with a smirk at Jared, “look, who has the upper hand now !”)
With these douchebags it always boils down to who is lying.

I think the anger is a bit of a show, because the real problem is that if Trump takes his time and thinks carefully, he’ll either admit to a crime, or he’ll prove to his lawyers that he is lying. He’s smart enough to know that he can’t tell his lawyer the truth about his actions.

Christie only denied that he was asked to help Fat Nixon prepare. Giuliani is saying that Christie is willing to do it - meaning that he volunteered.
The WaPo article didn’t say Christie had been asked. It quoted Giuliani as saying he would “like to bring Chris Christie in,” not that he had even contacted him about it. Christie’s tweet is extremely Trumpian.
