Discussion for article #240729
In which Chrispie compares his own behavior with 'problems with teenage bullies"
“My kids do this all the time. No biggie.”
Christie, when asked about Carroo, said: "I certainly have a lot more important things than worry about what wide receiver is suspend for a few games recently."
“Like inhaling two pizzas and a dozen chocolate eclairs. All at once.”
Christie, when asked about Carroo, said: “I certainly have a lot more important things than worry about what wide receiver is suspend for a few games recently. Being governor of New Jersey and running for president is a little more important than that.”
Well, Governor Big Pussy, you’ll have plenty of time to do that soon. Wearing an XXL orange jump suit, housed on the hot-side of a minimum Federal Security Prison, contemplating how you went from Governor and Presidential Candidate to Federal Prisoner!
Ah, the one situation where a GOTPer wants to keep a black kid out of jail.
They make exceptions for athletes.
Guess what Big Chicken? your run for president isn’t important to anyone but you.

Like closing down bridge lanes? And shredding all paper evidence? And throwing your own close circle staff under buses? Digging your hands in federal and regional transportation monies for your own personal state projects … and taking credit for it. Yes, you have been a busy man. And you get paid for doing all that, too!
If true, Guv, then I highly question you and the Mrs.'s parenting skills. Just saying there, dude.
At what age is someone tried as an adult in New Jersey? 22 or 23?
I am tired of universities and coaches calling athletes, “kids.”
Christie: “This is not shocking, you know, I’m a father of four….”
I send my little boy to his room for throwing food, running with scissors, and potty talk.
Apparently, Christie’s kids are arrested for felonies, extortion, and domestic violence.
I guess Chris is just a regular guy like the rest of us.
Considering most folks brains don’t fully form until mid-20s, impulse control can be a problem. That said, I’m not sure why Christie would worry about what some college athlete is doing or not doing. Should he also be held accountable for reported rapes on campus as well? This seems to me to be a disciplinary issue with either the university or the criminal justice system. Not sure why Christie needs to get involved. I’m not sure the governor of Michigan was blamed for condoning the behavior of a bunch of frats who tore up resort hotels in northern Michigan earlier this year.
Jeebus, Eustace. Don’t go all logical on us before cocktail hour!
It’s so consistent and weird that every Republican I know claims to be “tough on crime”, but when their own kids and teens show signs of being sociopaths, marauders, or merely drunk drivers they ALWAYS say, “Oh, that’s just youth!”. Bizarre.
I guess they really do know what shitty parents they are and can expect casual criminality as a given even with their own kids?
Start with the cocktails?
And he doesN’t sEem nEArly as lOgiCAl…

Guess it all has to do with acclimation. My brain automatically switched into Eustace mode when I saw the screen name. Then, when the text didn’t jibe…
The situation is a mess - Christie is a mess - and this article needs a bit of work too. Leonte Carroo is not a running back - he is a wide receiver . As the story has been reported - there was a fight between Girlfriend #1 and Girlfriend #2 (the female athletics department employee) - Leonte Carroo was a total idiot and rushed out of the athletic facility and stupidly inserted himself into the midst of the melee - and instantly became a participant in a “love triangle rumble”. No excuses for Leonte - this is all on him - the whole thing is tacky - but there is a whole lot more to this than what has been reported.
Christie’s response is so disrespectful to women. But, hey, he didn’t call Carla ugly. So there is that.
If he could make it a work-release program he’d like it even better.
