Discussion for article #235333
He’s a fucking asshole
Another flip-flop from Porky the Pig.
Well, will wonders never cease. I won’t disagree with @chammy about Christie’s personality disorder, but these anti-vaxxers need to be set down hard. No equivocating. No place at the table. Sit down and shut up. That is what Christie said, and on this point, I completely agree.
Part of the skill involved in being a stalking horse/hippo is knowing where one should embrace things like science and the establishment and even teachers. If the stalking ungulate goes completely extremist, he’s no longer useful at the role; serious candidates find him increasingly less useful to discuss, and it’s DISCUSSION about HIM that creates value in him to his own causes. He’s not expecting to win, he’s not running to win, he may not even bother fully or even partly entering the race. But he’s still got the rest of this year, at least, to stalk usefully and thereby invest in the tontine of possibly becoming someone’s US AG.
Flippity-floppity. The Jersey whale sticks his finger into the wind and changes his mind. Again.
Well, in Chrispy’s defense…that was almost an entire 2 months ago, and the wind was blowing out of the north then. Plus it was snowing and he was way too busy fucking over the NJ lottery commission at the time, by privatizing that shit and personally failing to account for a whole lot of lost revenues.
I guess he thought supporting anti-vaxxers was a bridge too far.
Another Republican “value” bites the dust. At this pace what will be left of the anti-science, anti-sane Republican value system by the end of this election? Walking back has become the only way the GOP is “taking the country back”. Lovely.
Is there a vaccine for being a fat blowhard? Cause tubby here needs it.
"Yeah, no. . . " Christie replied to applause from the crowd.
That’s flip flopping of the highest order
Whotha fuck knew pandering to anti-vaxxers was going to turn out to poll so badly?
“Nope, you can’t count on me”.
Sounds like a good campaign song to be played over and over until everybody is singing it.
Theres not enough time in a day to play all the commercials the gop is giving out for free.
The rest of Christie’s sentence was, and I don’t have the idiot anti-vaxxers backs.
Give that a minute.
As with any politician he’s going to where the votes are .
“A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds…” (Emerson) Those who castigate him for changing his position are wrong. He made a good change, and he deserves a modest credit for that. He still deserves blame for helping out the anti-vax morons with his previous stance.
Christie is an ass and this is a bit of a flip-flop, but you know what? This issue is just to damn important to risk dissuading other politicians from changing their positions from supporting anti-vaxxers nonsense to sane support of vaccinations by pillorying him over a proper change in position on the issue. So I instead I want to thank Christie for joining the land of the sane on at least this issue.
he is a master flopper. top of the flops. the only person who could achieve a higher degree is christie himself.
He used to be king of the hill.
