Philly fans, famously, once booed Santa Claus at an Eagles game, so yeah, he’s got a point. But this whole incident just reinforces the notion that Christie is a small-minded bully who isn’t really fit to lead a state, let alone a country. He’s our Rob Ford, minus the crack. (A pretty big difference, granted, but still…)

I am very conflicted here.
If he enters the 2016 primaries, I’d be sorely tempted to watch a GOP debate to see Ted Cruz goading him into the full nasty. But, watching a GOP debate…can I be exposed to so much callousness without lasting harm?

Republicans love the “full nasty,” from O’Reilly/Hannity on down. Let’s just hope they stay away from the Full Monty. That would cause irreparable damage!

The idea of Christie running for President simply fills the world with glee. Just think how much room will be made available in the clown car when he finally bails. Ah, the coming election primaries are going to become the stuff of legend, far outweighing (no pun intended) the 2012 GOP farce.

He’s not wrong. Philly fans are insane and even yell disparagement and epithets at their own team. it’s quite amusing, but also disturbing at the same time. Pay attention next time you see them losing a home game on tv and listen to the crowd…they’re absurd.

Being a 12 year transplant to the Philly metro region, I would argue they are passionate, and know BS effort when they see it. (I know… Santa Claus). Granted there are some doofuses, but those are everywhere.
Now Flyer fans… that’s another story.

I still recall McCain declaring PA “ground zero” in his campaign and the poll unskewers thinking Romney was leading there.

Philly fans boo Santa Claus.
About 20 (30?) years ago, Sports Illustrated did a survey of pro athletes in all sports. It was a cool thing to do. The survey covered everything from stadium food to which player had the hottest wife.
The top three responses to “Which city has the worst fans to play in front of?” was:
- Philadelphia
- and no one else
- even comes close.
