Discussion for article #243997
Desperate characters will say desperate things. Political opportunists will use every opportunity.
If anyone got us in to a WWIII situation, it was George The Lesser, a/k/a Oedipus Tex. His war of choice in Iraq was what stirred up all this shit.
There is enough hot air coming out of this man’s mouth to fill a hot air balloon.
Ooh! That’s gonna scare her!
Seriously, Christie, do you have even the slightest notion of how patheric you are?
news flash! whale blubbers WW3. makes almost human sounds. submerges into the cold atlantic.
Does this guy think he is still (or was ever) in the race?
Easy for him to say, since he’d never pass a draft physical that would come with is new world war.
God, he’s a repulsive toad of a person.
Christie only started talking this insanely now because he saw that stirring up fear has been working so well for Trump. Here he is in 2011 speaking in defense of a muslim he appointed to the court: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y83z552NJaw
What’s his strategy again? Oh, that’s right, he doesn’t have one. Instead of WW III, why don’t we call it what it is, Fear and Loathing II.
There are facts. Then there is partisan politics. Never the two shall meet.
So, according to his steel-trap logic, the Middle East fell into it’s current state of disrepair in 2008?
Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life Mr. Christie.
This WWIII talk is really pissing me off. My dad fought in Europe in WWII. My mom worked in a factory building war planes. My brother fought in Vietnam. Chris Christie doesn’t have any conception what real war is.
This is not funny. This is sad. War is hell. And Hillary did not “get us into WWIII.” More hyperbole that is just arrogant blah, blah, blah.
No Military Draft…no pushback against this latest attempt at relevancy by Christie. If there were, kids would be heading en masse to Jersey demanding that the glacial Wheels of Justice dealing with BridgeGate get STOKED UP.
Remember? Christie’s strategy to avoid war is to shoot down Russian planes. He’s convinced that will work really well to keep the peace.
No Chris, George W Bush and his team of flaming neo-cons got us into this mess. The invasion of Iraq on trumped up (pardon the pun) evidence, the disbanding of Sadam’s army and the Baathist Party, the imprisonment, mistreatment and torture of former Sadam officials, mostly Sunni, and the creation of an unstable Shia government unable to control its border with Syria completely destabilized the Middle East and created a fertile ground for Al-Qaeda to move in and metastasize into ISIS.
Obama and Clinton’s handling of the hand they were dealt may may not have been the best, but with no help from the Republicans and a pressing economic crisis at home, I think they have done the best that could have been expected.
Moreover, we have yet to hear any responsible and practical strategy from Christie nor any other Republican other than carpet bombing and glowing sand (nuclear weapons?).
