I am making Italian beef sandwiches tonight to celebrate. I absolutely LOVE chicken. I can eat it 7 days a week. But I will abstain from eating it to revel in the death of this fucking Christianist homophobe.
And, no, I do NOT feel sorry for his fucking bigoted family. I hope they put his body in between two slices of white bread and toast him in the crematorium (pepperjack cheese is optional). Don’t like my opinion of his death? Then go buy a chicken sandwich and leave me the fuck alone. Flame on!

What are the odds on the Westboro Baptist Church showing up for the funeral? Not in protest, but in solidarity.

In the 1980s (and possibly earlier/later as well) Truett Cathy taught middle-school-level Sunday School and I attended a few times with my friend who was a regular. He did a lot for those kids, had them out to his property regularly for fun events (riding around on go-karts and whatnot), helped people with hospital bills, etc.
It is a shame to see people speak of him like the leader of Westboro Baptist Church because his son said some awful things. I mean, yes, I would imagine virtually all 90+ year old Southern Baptist men are homophobic (even if they are themselves gay) due to a lifetime of brainwashing but the worst thing Truett ever did publicly that I know of is not selling people fried chicken on Sundays.
