Discussion for article #245359
Going fetal, or standing down and letting gun violence soar unabated? I wonder. There was a similar spike in gun deaths in Baltimore after the murder of Freddie Gray blew up. Sadly not hard for me to imagine, say, some police union proxies quietly putting into motion a slowdown to punish the public for asking questions, or to demonstrate that the public needs the police more than the police need the public.
Reckless speculation on the part of Rahm that fits his agenda. No one conclusively knows why crime rates went down during the nineties and no one truly knows why they may be going up…and even that’s not known for sure nationwide.
Rahm would love to blame the victim rather than take responsibility for what’s happening on his watch.
Rahm has it right with this one. You do not think that the police are going to keep sticking their necks out and taking a chance on getting fired for a bunch of people that do not appreciate the fine work that they do. If you want to believe what you wrote you are welcome to it. However, there are some real bad guys out there. All I can say good luck with the denial.
