state Rep. Brendan Boyle… won the nomination with 55 percent support while Margolies got 23 percent of the vote with 71 percent of precincts reporting
Wow, she got C R U S H E D!! I didn’t see this being predicted in scattered national coverage!
I didn’t see she was running. I’d never heard of her.
When your daughter-in-law eats up your name in a headline you are not going to win much of anything…
Having lived in PA and still having friends and family that live there, Margolies did not have the best of reputations prior to Chelsea being a part of the family.
Her story is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marjorie_Margolies
She’s run for quite a number of positions and been defeated more often than not. I wouldn’t put this on her connection with the Clintons, although she may’ve thought it might improve her chances. As for me, I don’t set much store by this defeat - she has a rotten reputation in the State and minimal support from anyone.
Isn’t she the former-rep who cast a deciding vote for a gun-safety measure, while the Republicans in the chamber chanted “hey, hey, hey, bye bye,” or something equally infantile? Strange way to identify her now–Chelsea’s MIL.
You are correct sir ! And by her casting that vote if I were able to vote for her I would have.
