Sweetheart deals always give the elitist %1 a leg up over the %99. We the people, would never get that kind of deal, giving us a wage for that a trained monkey could do. Chelsea Clinton is benefitting from her parents notoriety, giving Chelsea quite a payday for a job that hasn’t really been noticed for a very long time.
This is the way that the %1 takes care of their own and we the %99 are supposed to take this kind of sweetheart deal lying down and being good wage slaves acquiesce without question and comment. Well I for one cannot help but comment when people like this enrich themselves because of their parents notoriety or because of some hereditary privilege.

She works for NBC News as well as I recall.

It’s funny, I used to think that TPM’s slant was pro-Democrat and anti-Obama.
I would have expected that to mean that they were pissy since 2008 because Obama beat Hillary.
But now they’re trotting out this bullshit (yes, the fact that this story exists is bullshit, unless they want to make it about “how the kids of the 1% get a ridiculous leg up over the rest of us” - which would mean including more than a sample of one) who knows.
If true, it’s a revolting example of political nepotism. There is almost no way that a 34 year old public health Masters graduate can provide $600,000 /year worth of value to a company, except by currying favor with her famous parents or by adding luster by virtue of her name.
She may be a perfectly nice human being (no evidence suggests otherwise), but this stinks of the rot in the system.

Each of Bristol’s appearances simulating Dancing got her about $170,000. and while I don’t watch it if she was on four times, and I think she was, that came to $680,000. and she didn’t have to utter a word or thought.

Probably. However, it’s not really influence trading - it’s the American obsession with fame.
Everyone knows who Chelsea Clinton is. Everyone knows who Nicole Ritchie is.
So naturally they get heaps of money for doing something that a couple hundred thousand college graduates a year would happily do for a fifth the money, if not a tenth.
