Discussion for article #222283
And the O’care truthers will be all over this shortly.
The drunk House released their slanted report before this good news.
BeNGHAzzzZZZIIII!!!
&
BENghazZZZZZZZZZZIIII!!!
But only 67% of them paid.
Many insurers did not ask for payment before the end of April. One fellow I know signed up in December, but the insurance company said he would not receive a bill until February, when he would be billed for the two months of Jan and Feb. So … basically this is blowing smoke and is a handy GOP canard.
Any news on how many of these purported 8 millions were not previously insured and actually paid for the first premium?
Each time someone enrolls in Obamacare
A TeaPub head explodes…
heh heh heh.
There is a story on the front page that answers part of your question.
And the most recent estimate for those previously uninsured who now are 9.5 million previously uninsured people have gotten health insurance …
Why does the HHS report have “Embargoed” overprinted on it? The figures underneath it didn’t even appear for several minutes. It also has “Embargoed” on the pages if you go to the links.
Who cares how many liberals went on healthcare.org and signed up in order to boost the numbers. How many have actually paid? CBS is reporting that only 67% have actually paid.
Please go read the front page story on the bogus 69% number.
Here is a fine example of Faux’s misinformation at work.
Do we have any data on the percentage of Americans who lack health insurance? This would be the key piece of data to judge the success of the PPACA.
He doesn’t want any answers that don’t say “it’s DOOOOOOOMED.” Therefore, he’ll dismiss any unwelcome info with the conspiracy theory de jour (right now, it’s cooked-up “no one has paid” drivel that ignores the contradiction of that meme by the insurance companies themselves).
But it really doesn’t matter. The law will change over time, like all large programs. But the fact of a federal system to support people’s health care access is here to stay (hence the GOP “replacement” plans that never actually appear… even they know flat-out repeal is dead).
It appears that the biggest problem with Obamacare is that it is a victim of it’s own success.
So many people are signing up so fast that they can’t be counted in real time or even close to real time. The actual insurers, no-Obama isn’t issuing policies on the side, can’t compile and report quickly, aren’t billing immediately and don’t expect payments in the same month as the sign up.
There will be a leveling off at some point and all of this skewed numbers non-sense will fade away, just like the 2012 election, unemployment and the website roll-out cries, Benghazi howls, birther madness and the teleprompter scare. The wolves will quit crying about this and move on soon enough to the next faux scandal, which despite not knowing even what that is, they do know that the numbers are skewed against them.
67% is some bogus bullshit that the GOP came up with. The percentage will be significantly higher than that figure in the end. Congratulations on being a fool, I guess.
The sarcasm meter was on.
And how many own a car?
Or have a pet?
Do they reside in a house or apartment?
Do they have long hair or short?
How many have been sick for the past 5 years?
Do any of the people signing up own one of those velvet pictures featuring the dogs playing poker?

The president should do a presser in the Rose Garden with the CEOs from the top five insurance companies. Each CEO could come to the mic and announce how many new Obamacare plans they’ve issued and the percentage of payment. Afterwards, Obama could announce the real Obamacare numbers that include Medicaid, sub26ers, and folks who signed up directly. The morons are still going to claim it’s all a big conspiracy orchestrated by President Darkie McBlackinstine, but they’d say that anyway.
