Unbelievable . Doesn’t do irony well does he? As his Frankenstein creations that he birthed terrorize the villages he’s all What happened here? Go Fuck yourself Koch . If they were to get elected it would be you and your brother who should get the blame .
Yes…if they would just stick to polluting our nation’s water and air…then he could support them.
If they would just stick to making sure our country’s scarce precious resource of Billionaires were coddled and catered to, well then…they would be terrrific role models.
So he’s not donating to either of these clowns. But he and bro are still committed to spending $889 million this cycle with lots of buffers between them and the recipients as other crime families know how to do. I imagine most of it will go toward those who’ll vote No in Congress.
@pshah
I’m still boycotting their products, Bounty, Charmin, 76 gas, etc., but I see no signs of them failing.
Evidently not. Next he’ll be tisk-tisking Trump for attempting to use his wealth to have an outsized influence on the political process. (Of course he may not actually consider barely-a-billionaire Trump wealthy.)
Well, good for him.
Surrounded by fine art and…books? Are those colorful rectangles behind Charles books??? He seems kinda squishy soft and pink to me…
Charles Koch appearing in the role of “voice of moderation” shows just how far the GOP universe has slid to the extreme right.
Shorter Charles: How was I supposed to know what I was enabling?
So did Rip van Winkle Koch finally wake up or is he just trying to retrieve his reputation?
This has to be an Onion article, right?
Who are the Koch role models? Mussolini?
Praise from Caesar!
Another mindless cat fight among the GOP haters.
Yawn.
If either Trump or Cruz were advocating for the kind of minimalist government the Kochs would like to see, they’d give them piles of cash regardless of their crudeness. The simple explanation is that they not donating to Trump because Trump is campaigning on expanding government – big walls and healthcare (sort of) and promising trade wars which will hit Koch industries directly. He’s not supporting Cruz because Cruz is a theocrat – and will build up the military to engage in holy war. The Kochs are libertarian businessmen – not morality crusaders – both Cruz and Trump are bad for their business. They must realize they made a terrible mistake funding the Tea Party to oppose Obama – and Trump and Cruz are the poisonous fruit of their fateful decision.
So this is what it takes, for me to “Have a Koch and a smile” :0
Also, this just in: Weather.com reports “-66.6 degrees in Hell today"…officially frozen over! With flyin’ pigs!”
What’s the matter, Charles, unhappy with the way your destruction of democracy is going?
I think the Inverse Pottery Barn applies here: You bought it, You broke it.
Koch sitting on his greasy money is probably the best act he’s capable of.
We regret to inform you that Satire suffered an untimely death somewhere around 2008 when John McCain unleashed Cariboo Barbie on us. From that point on it was sufficient to repeat was was said by theses fringe idiots to provide satire and render satirists impotent . As we say in the trades "You can’t make that shit up "
It is kind of amazing when Charles Koch, whose father was a founder of the John Birth Society and who himself was a member of the society when it railed against Eisenhower as a Communist and fought serving black people in restaurants, now finds Trump and Cruz as too extreme.
A few lessons to be drawn:
Trump is nuts.
Cruz is nuts.
The Koch brothers are willing to go to almost any lengths to stir up white hatred to support politicians who will give them favors, but will not spend a dime on losers like Cruz and Trump.
Neoroyal…
Just watch Kasich’s margins climb now.
He’s the only “acceptable” one still in the running.
Although they have disagreed in the past, unless the Kochs have a horse ready for this race in one of their stables somewhere, he’s their guy.
…another Onion/Marshall poll?
