I too have a connection to baseball. In my tiny home town (pop 400 when everyone was home) lived Walter Alston Mgr of the Dodgers 1948-1975. Not to quibble with you who live in his State, but Orrin Hatch was an awful vile person during the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings, which were considerably before my 27 year old child was born. And during the whole Iran-Contra affair and investigation which was evenbefore that. During the Obama presidency he has been under the radar as far as the more outrageous obstructionist and lying GOP legislators.
And yes, getting mail from the local or DC office of a human shit stain is most annoying. We used to have to put up with constant mailings from Alphonse D’Amato. Our joy at his defeat by Chuck Schumer has been short lived because Schumer is turning out to be a Blue Dog. But I digress.
